"Dinner's ready!" Anne yells from down stairs.
Me and Adam walk downstairs and the smell is amazing, I have t had a meal like this for over 2 years. I see the dinning table, plates, forks, spoons, napkins, cups.
"Wow" I say with wide eyes
"What?" Says Adam confused
"It's just I haven't had a meal like this for a long time"
"Well then you will really enjoy this"
Adam pulls a chair out for me and I take a seat.
"Thank you" I say looking up to him smiling
"No problem" he winks at me once again
Adam takes a seat next to me and looks at the empty plate. I hear the door open
"Honey?"
"In the kitchen sweetheart"
"Hello honey" he gives her a kiss
"Hi Adam how was scho- oh well who is this"
"This is Sam dad she is joining us for dinner tonight"
"Well hello Sam I'm Dave" he says holding out his hand for me to shake
"Hello sir nice to meet you" I shake his hand softly
"Nice to meet you too"
He sets down his coat and takes a seat at the edge of the table. Anne bring a plate filled with steak. She goes around and puts steak, carrots, broccoli and mashed potatoes.
"Wow this looks amazing Mrs. Collins"
"How sweet of you Sam" she says with a huge smile
Anne takes a seat at the other end of the table and smiles at everyone of us. Dave is the first one to take a bite and so we follow and start to eat.
"So Sam how long have you been living here?" Anne says
"I moved here about two weeks ago"
"Why did you move" Dave says picking at his food
"My mom wanted a better life for me and my brother Teddy"
"How sweet" Anne says looking at me
"Adam how was school?"
"It was great dad"
"What did you kids do after school?" Says Anne looking at Adam and I
I freeze and look at Adam
"Oh.... uh... we talked about a project for English. We're partners"
"Oh well that's great." Dave says
Adams slides his hand under the table and rests it on his leg
"Sam I just have to say you are such a sweet young lady" Anne says to me
"Aw well thank you Mrs. Collins" I feel awkward for some reason
"Don't you think Sam is a great girl Adam?" Anne says looking at Adam
"Why yes she is mom" he puts his hand on my thigh under the table
He travels up my leg.
I want to scream but I like Adam I really do and I enjoy being with him a lot. I put my hand under the table and put it on Adams hand. I start to push his hand down.
"Well that was a very lovely dinner sweetheart" Dave says to Anne
"Why thank you sweety" Anne gets up and takes his plate
"If you'll excuse me I have work to do I'm office, Sam it was a pleasure meeting you" Dave says getting up
"Thank you sir" I say smiling back at him
"Well I'm done too so if you kids need me I'll be in my room" Anne leaves
Adam and I are alone
"Adam what the heck was that?"
"What?" He says turning my way
"Your hand on my thigh you idiot!" I whisper so Dave and Anne don't here us
"What! They don't know" he whispers back
"I have to go" I get up
"Sam don't do this" Adam grabs my arm and pulls me back down
"Adam I have to go" I pull away and walk to the door. Adam follows close behind
"Okay let me grab my keys"
" No I'll walk" I say growing angry
"What! Hell no Sam it's dark and you can get hurt"
"No don't wor-" he cuts me off
" I'm driving you home Sam"
"Fine" I say
