"Where have you been, Akane?" Sakura asked once I sat with my legs crossed on my bed. "I just wanted some fresh air." She narrowed her eyes at me. "You better not be following Sasuke or else." Geez, I was already helping her win him over but here I was, treated as her rival although her main friend/enemy was the Yamanaka girl.
Sakura sighed, her pink hair swayed from the cool wind. "Sakura.. is it possible to forgive a person who'd betrayed you?" She looked at me incredulously. "Where did that come from?" I shrugged. "I had this friend, who had an important information and she's hiding it from that person." Her slim eyebrows raised putting her hands to her hips. "Well, if its meant for that person's sake then I can't seem to say why not? People forgive, Akane but never forgets."
Sasuke had come to join us in guarding Tazuna since he was done with his training. Naruto however, remained asleep and refused to get up on his bed. The raven haired male had told us that it was 'troublesome' to try to wake him up. Kakashi also had came to my help when I had volunteered with the construction. When I asked our sensei about his sudden change, he had told me that I resembled his friend. "Is that person someone I know?" I asked while piling up the wood. "He's from your clan. His name was Obito Uchiha. He died saving me." Maybe this was his reason why he vowed to us that he would never let us die. He sounded that this 'Obito' was a great man. The mist had thicken as a sense of familiar chakra came along with another one. My body tensed in alert. Sh*t! I left my sword at Tazuna's. His chuckle echoed through the air. "I just came to where we have left."
I glanced at the pair to see Sasuke was trembling once more. "I see that you're student is afraid, probably because of his inevitable death." Sasuke gripped his kunai with a smirk in his face. "I'm trembling... with excitement." He came at a fast pace, maneuvering himself towards Zabuza. A small smile made into my face. Atta' boy Sasuke. His kunai was quickly deflected by a senbon. "It seems that you have made yourself an opponent, Haku." The fake hunter nin came upfront, with his needles placed at the spaces in his fingers. "I'll take him on. I hate deceitful people like that." Sakura gushed when Sasuke stepped in front. "You're so cool, Sasuke-kun." She never corrects Sasuke. Kakashi and I thought, sweatdropping. "I see.." The masked nin said. Sasuke quickly charged at him, their silhouettes a bit visible within the mist.
"Sakura, Akane guard Tazuna-san!" The pink haired kunoichi clutched her kunai, standing protectively beside Tazuna while I on the other hand, carried nothing but my hand. I activated my sharingan, turning my head at a different angle, hiding my eyes away from them. I saw Sasuke who was struggling inside for what it seemed to be iced mirrors. Definitely a kekkei genkai. I thought just as Haku had brought down his senbon needles upon Sasuke. The male Uchiha yelped as a few needles had hit his skin. He took a few of them from his body which caused a few scars and his chakra depleting. Command T: Reduction! I narrowed my eyes to see that my jutsu had no effect in minimizing his damage taken. It seems that I had to get a closer range.
Her emerald eyes widened when I ran towards them. "Akane! It's dangerous!" Sasuke's head tilted when he heard a sound of footsteps coming towards him. A surprise look etched on his face, looking at Akane who wielded the three tomoed sharingan. Command T: Reduction! Slowly, his injuries became smaller and the pain from his body started to subside. H- How can this be? Haku thought, flinging a few senbons at Sasuke. If I could make Akane attack from the outside with her ninjutsu... Sasuke dodged some of the senbons with his kunai. But.. Akane doesn't have any chakra nature. He gasped once a senbon had hit one of his chakra points.
A loud explosion came causing all of them to turn from the noise. "Naruto Uzumaki is here! Believe it!" Kakashi, Sakura and Akane sweatdropped as they saw the blonde Uzumaki posing up front. "A hero always comes in the nick of time to save everyone in trouble. Believe it!" Haku turned to look at the newcomer. Zabuza flung his kunai towards the blonde. Haku had counter it with his senbon. I probably would have guessed that everyone would have to rethink twice if he was an idiot or more lower than that. Now that Naruto's here, he could use a ninjutsu. Gah! "Yo Sasuke! I came here to save you." I muttered a few incoherent words under my breath seeing the Uzumaki was already inside Haku's jutsu. What the... Sakura thought, watching the blonde dobe as well.
Naruto headed for an exit but Haku quickly swiped him in with his senbon. If only.. if only I could be of help. I thought, watching my team mates fight him off. My hands raised into fist, aiming a punch at one of his ice mirrors. "It's no use. No matter what ninjutsu you would attack, it will not destroy my kekkei genkai." All the mirror images of Haku had targeted the Uzumaki. "Naruto! Watch out!" My shout rang, just as Naruto widened his eyes. A flash of blue appeared before him, standing protectively. Senbon needles pierced his body. "W- why?" The orange ninja asked. "My body seems to move on its own." He panted slowly falling to the ground. "Sasuke-kun!" Sakura screamed, horrified when she had watched Sasuke falling. He quickly caught him in his arms. "Sasuke! Hang in there!"
My hands rapidly made animal signs, gathering my chakra into one blow. "Fire style: Fireball jutsu!" My mouth drew out but only came my own breath. Father had looked down upon me again."Akane, do you know why our insignia resembles a fan?" Father asked, facing a grand canyon. "Because the Uchiha clan's nature is fire and the fan resembles our conductor of heat. An Uchiha that doesn't know how to do a fire style jutsu.. could never be called a person in our clan. A child who expertly uses the jutsu, has already reached the age of maturity no matter how young he is." His arms crossed, looking at me with those stern eyes. "You dissapoint me."
To this day was an exception. I always felt nothingness, not until today. Watching my blood relatives die before my eyes, is something I could never forget. But watching the person I protected under my clan gets hurt, I was angry. I could feel dark chakra resurfacing in Naruto. My anger resonated as his. I heard Naruto gritting his teeth in anger, just as I was. "You'll pay. You'll pay for this." His blue eyes was slowly replaced by a piercing red eyed, his whiskers on his face turned sharper. Memories flashed before me, instinctively doing the same hand signs I've read in the Uchiha ichizoku's library. "Fire style: Great Fire Annihilation!" Naruto's screamed echoed whipping the mirrors off with his tails chakra.
Both sides of the mirror broke, with such intense fire power. My jutsu was large that it was taller than the buildings I knew in Konoha. The enemy's body flew in a short distance. I sense Naruto's chakra beside me, we both aimed a hard punch in Haku's mask. His animal mask cracked, slowly breaking from his face. "Y- you.." I glanced to see Naruto's face saw recognition in them. My body.. it feels so drained of energy. My legs trembled, taking steps towards the unconscious male. I panted, standing before his body. "How's that for a ninjutsu, eh Sasuke?" Sakura's scream echoed, hearing her footsteps near us. Black dots clouded my eyes, feeling all light headed so sudden. My chakra was drained mainly using my mother's kekkei genkai a few times and using a very powerful jutsu. I wasn't use to this. I felt the skin near my lips, stung from minor burns.
"Sasuke-kun!" The pink haired kunoichi cried, placing his head on her lap. My vision blurred before darkness overwhelmed my senses. A smirk faintly etched my face. Sasuke is still alive, idiot.
