Human Mate

Chapter 2

I stood there just staring at the creature in front of me. Soon it came closer and I could feel its hot breath breathing down my face. I started to walk back slowly but tripped over a tree stump. As I fell I felt something scratch the side of my leg and felt warm liquid dripping down my leg.
"Ow." I said under my breath. The beast came forward and started to lick my cut. It was as if it was healing me. When it was done I didn't feel the sharp pain. I didn't feel anything actually.
"Thanks." I said as if it could understand me. It inched its way towards me and placed its huge head on my lap. The bright yellow eyes were looking up at me. They seemed so innocent, so sweet.
"You know. Your actually not that scary when your like this." I said giggling as I patted its head. It started purring and closed his eyes. The beast made me feel protected, safe. As if nothing could touch me or hurt me.

Mikes P.O.V

I left Jessica because I really needed to go for a run in my wolf form. I've kept him locked up in my human body for a while and he's been going crazy. I truly didn't want to leave Jessica. She's my mate. She doesn't know what I am and I don't intend on telling her for awhile. At least until she's 18, which is in a few weeks.
Right when I was deep in the woods and knew I was out of sight I took my clothes off and placed them behind a tree. I immediately changed into my wolf form and sped off. I felt so free and alive! I never wanted to stop. I was out here for about 15 minutes when I smelt Jessica. Her scent smelt amazing. It was a mix of vanilla and lavender. It was intoxicating and I couldn't get enough of it. I ducked down behind some bushes and watched her. She seemed lost and scared. I could tell because I could hear her heart pounding. I just sat there watching her. Seeing her hair move in the wind. Her beautiful blue eyes looking around. She was perfect and I was lucky to have her. It was then when she made direct eye contact with me. Her face showed fear. I would've ran but I couldn't, I don't know what made me do this but I did. I emerged from the bushes and took a step towards her. I was at least a foot taller than her and I'm on all fours. She seem petrified and scared out of her mind. She just stood there and stared at me. I decided to walk closer and soon I was able to feel her little short breaths hitting my face. I kept looking her directly in the eyes and never pulled away. She started to back away slowly but tripped over a tree stump. When she fell I noticed something cut her leg and little blood trickles started falling down. I slowly walked over to her and licked where she was cut. It started to heal so I stopped.
"Thanks." She said. If only she knew who I was. I inched my way towards and placed my head on her lap.
"You know, your actually not that scary when your like this." She said with a giggle and started to pet my head. I purred and nuzzled into her lap and closed my eyes. This moment was perfect.
