Chapter 7

Jessica's P.O.V

"How do you manage to do this!?" Mike said falling down for the millionth time. Everytime he fell I couldn't help but laugh. I skated over to help him up.
"Seriously.. How do you do this??" He said gaining balance from the railings.
"I've been skating since I was 3. I have pretty good experience." I said making sure he still had his balance.
"Well, I have never skated before today and I have no idea why I offered this idea." He said while laughing. I grabbed hold of his hand and pulled him on to the ice. He wobbled a bit but was able to keep his balance.
"See. Now you've got it!" I said with excitement. He smiled and gave me a thumbs up with his other hand. We skated around hand in hand for awhile until Mike over here was getting hungry. We walked off the rink and to the food stand.
"I'll take a diet soda. And this guy over here will have.. Babe. What do you want?" I asked him as he scanned the menu.
"2 slices of pizza with a side of fries and a Coke." He said licking his lips.
"Is that it?" The cashier asked. I looked up at Mike.
"Is that it?" I asked him. He laughed and nodded.
"That will be $15.25." The cashier said with a blank expression. I was about to pull out my cash but Mike stopped me.
"I'll pay. I took you out, I pay." He said with a huge smile. I leaned against him as he handed the guy his money. We took a seat at the nearest empty table and watched the people ice skate. At points we would crack up laughing at the people who fell over. When the food came Mike was the only one eating. I was fine with my Diet Coke.
"Jess, you have to eat!" Mike said stuffing his face.
"No I'm fine. Not hungry." I told him taking a sip of my soda.
"Uh huh." He said raising an eyebrow.
"I'm not!" I said sticking up for myself.
"Ok ok. Fry?" He said handing me a fry. I happily took it and took a bite.
"See. I knew you were hungry." He said with a grin. I mimicked him then stuck my tongue out.
When we were finished eating we went once more on the ice again before leaving. When were on the ice Mike was still having troubles with skating. It was hilarious. I definatley should've gotten it on film. We walked happily hand in hand back to the car.
"This was a lot of fun." I told him as we stopped in front of his car.
"Yea says the person who kept laughing at me everything I fell." He said with a serious face. He didn't keep the serious face for long because he started laughing.
"Ok I have to admit it was pretty funny remembering how many times I've fallen." He said laughing. I laughed along with him.
"I love you." I said looking at him. He stopped laughing and looked at me as well.
"I love you too."
