Chapter 9

I twirl my thumbs as I think about my past. "So I'm excited to meet your mom." "Yeah she's really going to like you." I said that with more worry than ease. I don't know how my mom will react to us.

We pull up at my mom's house and she literally had cars lined up. She really invited everyone. I should've known, my momma can't hold water.

I knocked on the door and my mom answers and hugs me, "hey baby." "Hey momma, what is everybody doing here?" "I decided to cook a big dinner. The family hasn't seen you in a while, and this new engagement is a shock to everyone. I rolled my eyes and walked in.

My whole family was sitting in the living room. "Hi everyone." I was greated with, "Oh my god we missed you." I hugged everyone and introduced them to Mega. Everyone seemed to like Mega but when I got to my cousin Kayla. It's like I could feel the hating radiating from her milky skin. I never understood why she was so jealous of me cause I always thought she was prettier. But she has always seen ne as competition.

"Hey Kayla." "Hello Nicole, took you forever to visit." "Well you know been busy." "Well so have I, I'm in college for my cosmetology license. And well my husband is a doctor arn't you sweet heart? So what do you doooo?" "Oh the names Mega and we both own multimillion dollar companies. So you're a doctor?" Jeffrey spoke, "yeah." "What do you actually practice?" "Oh well I'm still in school but I'm going to be a psychiatrist." We both answered, "oh." We begin to walk off and Kayla looked pissed.

I went up to my old room. "She must not like you." "Yeah she don't never knew why though." "I'm mad she made old dude seem like he was a top paid surgeon." We both laughed, "come on before my family starts assuming I don't want to be here."

We went back down the stairs and started having conversations with my family. They seemed to actually like him. My mom announced that the food was ready and we all went outside to the beautiful set up.

We began to eat and conversate about literally everything. Kayla took a sip of her wine, "so Nicole how did you two meet?" "Well he wanted to be a partner in my company so we had a meeting and just started talking from there." "Right so do you sleep with every business partner or just him." Before I could answer Mega took over, "well firstly we arnt business partners. I only asked to be her business partner so she would give me a chance. I know she likes all her money to herself and would never partner up just like myself. And she can't possibly be sleeping with anyone else when she's in my bed every night."

My sister spoke up, "Nicki I like him." Kayla stood up and stormed off with her husband right behind her. My aunt pointed her finger at me, "now don't you mind her, you know that girl has always had a stick up her ass sense she was lil." We all laughed, "we know."

Later on that night, everybody was gone by now except my sister, my mom of course, my aunt, and Kayla. I went to the kitchen to get a glass of juice and Kayla came through the door. "Ugh you still here." "Kayla I'm not about to do this have a good night." "Nah bitch we gone talk." "Bitch, bitch I got yo bitch, just cause I don't leave in the ghetto no more don't mean I forgot what it feels like. I will still mop the floor with your dusty ass." "Bitch you aint gone do shit!"

Boom before you know it we were fighting on the kitchen floor. We were fighting for a good minute before everyone started pulling us apart. "Fuck you Nicole you a weak ass bitch!" "Bitch fuck you how that blood taste in your mouth hoe?" Mega put me over my his shoulder and carried me up the stairs. And that night, shit that was the best sex I've ever had.
