"What's wrong, Kayla?" My mom asked as she drove, heading back to the hotel. I decided to go back instead of hanging with the guys.

"Nothing, just tired." I lied.

"Kayla if this is about Tanner, I told you to stay away, boys are no good and-"

"Mom! I said I was tired." I yelled, slipped in my headphones and blasted my music.

Snapchat from Zach Mcwilliams

"ayee"

If looks could kill, my phone would be fried. Zach ruined everything, with Tanner. And he had the audacity to snapchat me? I stuffed my face into my pillow and screamed.

Thankfully, I had some privacy. My parents were out eating dinner. So it was just me, alone in the hotel. I couldn't have asked for a better gift.

I got a Snap from Ryley, but he just asked how I was. Still, the only thing that mattered to me was that Tanner hadn't opened mine. I screamed into my pillow again.

I got up to get some food to eat , when I heard someone Facetiming me.

It was Zach, and reluctantly I answered.

"What do you want?" I sassed him.

He was alone in the bunk room in the Grove , so before he could answer I interrogated him.

"Where are the boys, where's Tanner?"

"Chill, they're with the Aussies. With your boyfriend." He smirked.

"I could hang up on you ..." I threatened.

"Fine, so what's up cutie?" He asked.

For a second, I thought it was a prank. But I realized none of the boys were jumping out and yelling surprise and I didn't hear any giggles. So it was true, Zach called me 'cutie'.

"Excuse me?" I scoffed.

"I said, what's up cutie?" He stated again like it was no big deal.

"Zach never in your 13 years of living have you called me cutie, what's going on?" I asked suspiciously.

"Listen, Oden. You're hot, popular, and cool. And right now, I've got a lot of stuff on you. If your parents even found out about Ryley or anything remotely close to boys, you'd be done for. So, you're going to do exactly what I say,  you're my girlfriend, until Jenna from back home gets jealous. Understand?" He rattled off like a maniac asking for money for hostages.

I didn't have a choice, he was right. If my mom found out... she couldn't. I would have to be Zach's girlfriend.

My future was not looking too bright.

"Zach please tell me you're kidding, you know how much I like Tanner."

"That's the thing, the more we're together, the more Tanner gets jealous. And the less he performs better. Which means, more playing time and attention on me. Got it?"

I gulped, swallowing down the fact that Zach McWilliams was using me as his pawn.

"Got it." I said weakily, and hung up.

I ran over to the bathroom and basically threw up nothing.

Zach had me under his control. I could literally not do anything other than "like" him.

And, Tanner is going to think this is true, and I can't tell him because he will surely tell Zach.

Which means Zach will tell my mom that I'm not that perfect innocent daughter.

And I'd be screwed up worse than Zach's plan.

I might as well just throw myself down Lamade Hill now.
