A tear dropped from his eye as he closed the last letter. With shaky breaths and unsteady hands, he wiped the drop of sadness from his eye and looked at her intently, not saying a word.

Minutes have passed and yet he continued to watch his lady intently, not minding the beats from her monitor or her short breaths, he just watched.

A short knock came from the door, "Hey, I know how much this means to you but I don't want to spoil your time with her but son, you need to go home, its protocol. Families only." Dr.  Watson sincerely told him. "Yeah, I'm just taking my time."

As soon as the doctor left, Rowan fixed the letters back to the box. As he did this, his mind could not stop his mind from wondering if it was better that he tell her or that he doesn't.

Not yet. He thought. Because he hoped that there would be no time or moment for him to ever say those words to her. Because he hoped that the chance would never present itself.

And that's how he wanted things to be, peaceful and happy.
