Chapter 8

At the Han River park, Jihyo is sitting inside of her car, watching a fanmake MV of Monday Couple. Jihyo is really enjoy watching the MV while she's waiting for Gary. The time is getting late and Gary is still seem to be nowhere. The slight rain starts to drop. Frustrated Jihyo calls Gary.

Jihyo: Oppa, where are you? Why are you so late? (Angry tone)

Abruptly, someone knocks on the window, Jihyo turns to take a look and see Gary is standing outside holding 2 Americanos on his hand. Forget about her anger, she breaks a smile across her face and opens the door.

Gary: Mianne, oppa wanna bought a drink for you on my way here.

Touched Jihyo doesn't know what to say, she couldn't imagine she got mad at someone who always being so thoughtful about her. Jihyo takes the drink with a grateful heart. Quickly they get back to the car before they get wet.

Jihyo: Gamsahabnida oppa! 

Even the weather is getting cold, but with just a cup of Americano enough to warm Jihyo's heart. 

Jihyo: Oppa, I wanna say sorry for my misbehivors in the past few days. Probably I got you some trouble. 

Gary: Babo ya! When did you do that! Don't mind about it Jihyo ah!

Both get silent. To break the awkwardness, Gary starts the conversation.

Gary: Is that the thing you said you wanna talk about?

Jihyo: Aniyo!......(Hesitated) Something about us!........Oppa, how do feel about me? 

Gary gets a little surprised by Jihyo's question.

Gary: You... are my MongJi of course.

Jihyo: Jinja, just MongJi?

Gary: Oh!!!! 

Jihyo: I thought you like me though!

Gary shocked and looks at Jihyo, cuz he doesn't believe what he just heard of.

Jihyo: For real oppa, do you like me? (Jihyo looks straight at Gary)

Gary knows this is something he can run away no more, he has to tell Jihyo how he is really feel. Gather up all his courage and...

Gary: Jihyo ah! Oppa don't like you..! But I LOVE YOU!!! (Serious tone)

Jihyo looks blank at what Gary said and just keep looking at him like he's speaking a foreign language. 

Jihyo: You said you love me?............ then why did you kissed the fangirl!! >:(

Gary: That was Gill's idea, Jihyo ah! He said I looked so depressed because of you, so he came up with the idea to test your feeling for me!

Now Jihyo realized she got tricked and slowly get mad at Leessang. 

Jihyo: Yah..Kang Gary! So you were playing with me this whole time...X(

Gary quickly hold on to Jihyo's right hand, try to calm her down.

Gary: Mianne, oppa also want to know your true feeling. Oh! Jihyo ah, you got jealous? (a slight smile)

Jihyo: Who said I got jealous! (angry tone)

Gary is being serious talking while he's still holding Jihyo's hand.

Gary: Jihyo ah, be honest to yourself. You know you love me, I love you too. Why can't we just be together? Why are you trying to runaway... Oppa really got hurted when I saw you said nothing when you knew what I did with a fangirl. Just like you stabbed a knife to my heart, and it still bleeding here (use his hand to points to his heart). I don't want to be just your Monday Boyfriend, I want to take care of you, I want to love you, I want to protect you. Jihyo, would you be my Everyday Girlfriend?

Again, Jihyo is in her blank state but she heard what Gary said just doesn't know how to react.

Jihyo: Op...pa...

Gary sets his eyes on Jihyo and hoping for something good to happen.

Jihyo: Oppa, I'm not sure. I need some time to think about this. Things just happen too fast that I think I need some time to digested everything.

Disappointedly, Gary let go of Jihyo's hand and speaks with a bitter voice.

Gary: Alasso, oppa will wait for you. 

Outside, the merciless rain is pouring down harder than ever, same with how Gary is feeling right now inside of his heart. Jihyo's phrases ended their conversation, both of them just sitting there to wait for nothing.

Gary: It's late already, you should go home and take a rest. Oppa will be leaving. (after he finishes his words, he opens the door but Jihyo stop him)

Jihyo: Oppa, it raining hard outside. I will drive you back to your place.

Gary: Gwaechana, my car is parking at the other side. I'll be off, be careful on the road!

Just like that, Gary opens the door and run toward his car. Leaving Jihyo sitting there alone with the Amerinos already cool down. 

Jihyo's POV: Ayy.... this is not good! Why didn't I tell him I love him too? Why did I let him down like that? I'm such a bad Jihyo...

Jihyo feeling regretted about her actions, she keep hitting her head with both of her hands. 

Gary get in his car, half dreched. 

Gary's POV: She does care about that but not like she has anything feeling for me. And what did I do, I confessed to her!! Ah~eotteohge???

With those kind of thoughts in mind, both drive back to their homes under the heavy raindrops follow by sets of frightening thunders.
