Chapter One
Jackson's POV
"I love you. And I think you love me too." I said. What was I thinking? I'm humiliating myself in front of everyone here, and will be even more humiliated when or if she says no.

Still no answer. I thought she loved me. All she can do right now is stare, just like everyone else. Say something.
"April?" I said, tired of the deafening silence.
"April." Matthew said.
"I.... umm... I..." was all she could say.

April ran off while Meredith, Cristina, and Arizona ran after her.
I don't get it! I thought she wanted to stay with me forever. what was stopping we besides getting married?
Oh crap... Stephanie! I looked at her while she looked away in disgust.

Derek came back from his phone call. "Where the hell is everybody?"

Ben replied, "You don't wanna know."

APRIL'S POV
Oh my gosh! What just happened? the event kept playing over and over like instant replay. Why, Jackson, why? Yes, I wanted you, but I've moved on..... I think.
As I ran off, I left a trail of bridesmaids behind me. I opened the door to the dressing room and locked it behind me.

After that action, all I heard behind the door was:
"Everything will be okay!"- Arizona
"Let us in!"- Callie
"Umm, the sun'll come out tomorrow?"- Cristina

I don't need those lies. Except for Cristina. She's the only one who knows how to tell the truth.

Ignoring all of them, I lay on the couch and close my eyes, the last image I see is the door.

JACKSON'S POV
"What the hell is your problem?! Why are you even here? Do you even care about April?" Matthew yelled at me. Why is this prick yelling at me? It's not my fault if April says yes to me.
After his tantrum, Matthew ran off. Everyone left, realizing that there would be no wedding. Everyone except.... Stephanie. Guess it's time to make amends.

"Stephanie..." I started. This sentence was interrupted by a smack across my face.

"What the hell is your problem?" she yelled.

"Steph, I'm sorry..."

"'Steph, I'm sorry'. Out of all things I need right now, a bullshit apology is not in the list. How do you think I feel? You embarrassed me!"

"Steph..."

"And to think I was going to tell you I loved you."

Oh shit. She was gonna tell me she loved me?

"Well, fine. You want her? Have her. Just know you had to break a girl's heart to get her."
And with that, she lodged her 3-inch Louboutin heel into my groin and walked away with tears in her eyes.

APRIL'S POV
When I woke up, I was at the hospital. Except it wasn't Grey+Sloan. It was Seattle Grace-Mercy West. I was at the reception desk when four doctors showed up.

Dr Izzie Stevens
Dr. Mark Sloan
Dr. Lexie Grey
Dr. George O'Malley

"Hi, April." Izzie said.

"Hi, why am I here?" I asked.

"You're here so we can show you how to make the right choice." Mark said.

"And we're not gonna make a pros and cons list or tell you which to choose..." Lexie replied.

"...We're just gonna guide you in the right direction." George finished.

"Ok...." I said.

"I'll go first!" Izzie said.

Izzie told me about how she loved her fiancé Denny and her friend Alex. When Denny died, Alex was there for her. Also, when Izzie was diagnosed with a metastatic melanoma, Alex was there for her. But because of his constant patronizing, she left him, which she claims was the worst mistake of her life.

Her lesson: Even though you may get a second chance at life, you may not get a second chance in love.

"I'll go next." George said.

George told me of his marriage to Callie, and how he cheated on her with Izzie. He didn't know who to choose, but Callie made it easy. Callie divorced him and George finally got his chance with Izzie. However, their relationship was short-lived. After this, George died alone.

His lesson: It's okay to ponder, but make sure you make the choice you're sure about.

"I'll go." Mark said.

I already knew this, but Mark told me that he had a love triangle with Julia and Lexie. He ended up making the wrong choice, even when Lexie pleaded for his love. But when he died, he died with a smile on his face knowing that Lexie knew that he loved her.

"I don't really have a story to tell. I'm just here because my husband is." Lexie said, as she snuggled up to Mark.

"We all are here to tell you that making the right choice is vital when it comes to this. Has Jackson or Matthew ever been in a horrible accident and you thought they were dead?" Izzie asked.

"Jackson almost died in a bus explosion. It was the worst moment of my life. I thought he was dead." I said, truthfully.

"And, who knows, Matthew could be in an accident yet to come. You love both of them, right?" Izzie asked.

"Yes." I admitted.

"You'll know when the time is right." Lexie said. After she said that, they all touched my shoulder, turned golden (like sand), and disintegrated.

I woke up, still not sure, but ready for visitors.

I finally let them all in.

"Took you long enough," Cristina said.

"Are you okay?" Arizona asked.

"Do you need some time?" Meredith asked.

"No. But I had the weirdest dream. I still don't know who to choose," I said. I felt the tears coming again.

"Honey, it's okay. Do you want me to tell you about my choice between Finn and Derek?" Meredith asked.

"No! That's the last thing I need. What I need now is to be married. What I need is to be on a plane to Puerto Rico. What I need is for Jackson to have not had said what he said. God, why did he do that?" The tears were coming hard now.

Everyone just stared at me, not knowing what to do. Then, Callie had an idea.

"Hey, stop crying. Come on, let's fix your face up."

After they fixed me up, they told me Jackson was waiting outside.

"Has he been waiting there since you came up with the idea?" I asked angrily.

"No. He's been out there since the wedding ended. Just go out there. You'll know." Callie said as she nudged me outside.

I went outside in my wedding dress and met Jackson.

"April..." he started.

I sat with him on the bench and suddenly, I knew what I wanted.

"Jackson, I wanna tell you how I feel. When I told you I loved you, I was a child. I didn't know what I wanted. And it took time for us to be apart for me to realize that I still love you. And I will always still love you because you never forget your first love. But that time apart made me realize that you may never want me again and made me aware that I can find that love in someone else. It's because of you that I am able to love Matthew. But because I love him, I can't hurt him. He's the one I'm destined to be with." As I got up from the bench, I saw the hurt in his eyes. "I want to thank you for showing me how to love." I gave him a kiss on his head and left.

"Matthew! Matthew!" I yelled. Matthew was pacing the mulch and entered the church.

"Matthew!" I yelled again. These heels were not made for running.

"What?" he replied with attitude.

"I choose you." I said.

"What?"

"I choose you."

"Why? You could have Mr. Pretty Boy Green-Eyed Man. Why did you choose me?"

"Don't question my process." I joked.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Matthew and I called out to the crowd of disoriented guests. "The wedding is back on!"

That night was the most magical night of my life. We danced, we toasted, and we left that church as a married couple. This is what I've always wanted, and now I've got it.

JACKSON'S POV
I was heartbroken. I pleaded for the girl of my dreams, and now she's gone. She chose him. So I lost the girl of my dreams, my girlfriend hates me, and now I'll be a social pariah at work. I've humiliated myself, Stephanie, Matthew, and April. I care about 75% of those people, so, yep, everyone's gonna hate me. Well, tomorrow is tomorrow. And time will tell.
