ALEX'S POV
I walked into the hospital and saw Jo. I haven't seen her since the wedding, and that's surprising since we were a couple. Come to think of it, she's actually been dodging me.

"Hey." I answered as she walked up to me.

"Hey. Um, can we talk?" she said. Oh, great. She sounded serious. I haven't heard that tone since Izzie told me she had cancer.

"Sure. Where?"

"Let's go into the on-call room."

She dragged me to the second floor on-call room. I felt the anxiety build up and travel from the balls of my feet to my temples.

She opened the door, locked it, and sat down.

"I think I'm pregnant." she said.

"What? Wait, why do you think so?"

She pulled out her phone and showed me her calendar. "I was supposed to have my period the day after the wedding. The wedding was two weeks ago."

"Oh my god."

"Yeah. So, what do you wanna do?"

"I don't know. This is a lot to handle."

"Of course it is."

As soon as she said that, my pager started beeping. Time for my residents' rounds. "Can we talk about this later?"

"Yes."

"Okay, love you."

"Love you, too."

Oh my god.

JO'S POV
I cannot believe I may be pregnant. This is not how I planned it out. I was supposed to be married. I just....

"Wilson! Dr. Wilson!" Dr. Bailey shouted at me. I almost forgot I was doing rounds.

"Umm.. Henry Gaines, 32, checked in with complaints of palpitations, echo and ultrasound showed a slight heart murmur."

"Good job. Now what do we do about that?"

"Give him 10ccs of mithrolifipan?"

"Shouldn't sound like a question, Dr. Wilson."

"Yes, Dr. Bailey."

At lunch, I paged Alex to the ladies' room. I know it was weird, but the on-call room was full and so were all the exam rooms.

"You paged?" panted Alex. He sounded like he was running.

"Yeah, um.... I know I said I might be pregnant, but I haven't taken a test, so I need you in here."

"In here? The ladies' room? Look, I'll do whatever you want, but I'm not being smacked by some crazy menstrual chick who's shocked to see a man in the restroom."

I really don't need this right now.

"Alex, if you want, I'll lock the door."

"Ok."

He entered the bathroom and I went into a stall. I heard he whistle while he waited.

After a long period of waiting, I came out of the stall to tell him. Problem is, the test didn't say anything yet.

"What'd it say? What'd it say?" he asked.

"I don't know yet."

"Dammit. Well, whatever happens, I just want you to know that I'll be here for you, no matter what."

"Ok. And who cares if it's positive. We'll be great parents, right?"

"Right."

After 3 minutes Alex and I looked at the test, but I crowded over it so I can see it better.

"I can't see. What does it say?"

"Pregnant."
