Before the Story [Kageyama Tobio x Reader]

♚(Y/N) and Tsukishima♚

I tried to get over it. I really did. I wish so much for (Y/N)'s happiness. But I wanted to hold her hand. As our second year came, (Y/N) got into an accident when meeting up to see Tsukishima. She lost her memories. The feeling when someone asks, "Who are you?" was never more terrifying. How could you forget someone? 

It hurts. The way you don't call me Tobio. The way you treat me as a stranger. The way you don't come to my house to eat anymore. I realized I wanted the old (Y/N) back.

And still the you now, continues to chase after Tsukishima.

"Hey, (L/N)?" Hinata asks. "What do you think about Kageyama-kun?"

"He's kind. He really wants me to remember..." you smiled, sadly. "He really loves (Y/N)."

"..(L/N), could it be you don't want your memories back?" the orange hair boy asks. You looked at him, a bit surprised. You move the strand of hair back, and chuckle.

"You caught me. But truthfully speaking, I also want to regain my memories." you explained while looking at the blue sky. "I don't want to see remember because of Kageyama-kun. But at the same time, I want to because he's working hard to regain it back. Another reason why I really want it back is because there's a hole in my heart. I keep forgetting something and I can't remember it. When I look at that guy, he makes me feel strange."

I was listening to the conversation, drinking that sour orange juice that I couldn't let go of. When it was finished, I crushed it and threw it in the trash can.

Soon after, I was able to ask her out and she accepted. It wasn't the same as it was before. She was holding onto a wall like she didn't want to get closer to me then she already did. Was it okay to continue to force herself like this? As long as Tsukishima doesn't get anyway near her, I thought it would be okay to leave her like this. I know I'm probably doing something but... please stay by my side for just a little longer.

But then I realized that she loved him on the day of the festival. She continue to run. Her back was facing towards me and she continued to run faster. I was frustrated to leave her alone so when I chased after her, that childhood friend of mine was already with Tsukishima. My hand clenches but I released it, sighing. 

"...Tobio?" And then she remembered.

Now, (Y/N) and Tsukishima are still dating. (Y/N) followed me in university while Tsukishima went to a better university but the two kept a relationship. I continued with volleyball. (Y/N) took alot of part time jobs and end up quitting most of them. She ended up getting a They fought here and there but continued to make up. Countless times, I thought they were going to break up but Tsukishima really did continued to cherish her like he promised. I didn't mind it as much for them to be together. I slowly gotten use to their relationship. As long as I saw (Y/N) again, I didn't mind. 

"Hey, (Y/N)." I said.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"I was wondering what's for dinner that's all." I answered, simply. "You bought a lot yesterday. I was wondering what's all of that for?"

"Oh. My father is coming back on his business trip. We're here to congratulate him. He's getting a month's vacation so we get to spend together for a while now." you bragged. The phone from your pocket began to chime. You smiled, seeing that it was your mother on the end of the line. (Y/N) revealed to me who was calling. She picks up with a huge smile on her face. "Mom? Is something wrong?"

The phone slips from her finger. I was able to catch it with a vien pop up. I look at (Y/N)'s hands that were trembling. I slowly put the phone in my ear, worrying about something. I could hear the sound of sobbing.

"Tobio. My dad is..."

I didn't mind but...
