Broken

Chapter Eight

~Tora's POV~
I felt my back get thrown against a cold, hard wall and I opened my eyes. I looked around my cell and got up,
"Ugh..." I groaned. I looked around and looked into the other cells.
"T-Tora.. W-What happened?" I hear Alex say from another cell, probably in pain. I looked at him.
"What do you think Alex?" I say mad and scared. His eyes go wide.
"T-Tora... What h-happened to you?" He says staring at me. I looked down at my body. I wasn't a ghost anymore.. I was a human,
"How the hell?!" I yell as I look at Alex. He stares back at me.
"She has the magic to come back alive, she must have made you become a human again." Alex explains. My ears start to twitch. I sigh as the door to the dungeon opens, the girl walks in with the merchant. The merchant looks at me and winks. I roll my eyes and bang on the bars.
"Let us out you bastards!" I yell at them. The girl looks at me, she laughs.
"Wow, you're so funny Tora! Don't worry, you'll be fine. I just need Alex to come home with us." She says looking at Alex. The girl walks up to his jail cell and walks through the bars. Alex looks at me, startled. The girl laughs as she picks Alex up. "Come back home with us Alex! You can be safe there, be safe from the humans. And from love." The girl starts throwing him against the walls, making him bleed.
"Z-Zo..please...s-stop..." He stutters out, sounding like he is on his last breath. "Zo" kicks him in the stomach. "Does it remind you of when you were young? When you were stuck in hell" Her words left Alex in pain.
"Z-Zo.." Alex coughs out as he falls onto the ground.
"Alex!" I yell banging on the bars. Zo comes over and opens them, I go up to her and start punching her. She falls to the ground, and I see a jewel fall out of her pocket.
"Don't take t-that!" Zo yells out as I grab it and put it in my pocket. I grab a knife and put it to her throat.
"You better start talking!" I yell out at her. She stays silent and I shake my head, cutting her throat. I turn around to face the merchant.
"You better run home.." I say grinning. The merchant runs out, as I run over to Alex. "Alex! Wake up!" I say, hoping he would wake up. Nothing. I take out the jewel, there was a little diamond on it, I pressed it and felt a change in my body. I looked down to see I was a ghost, as I pressed it again, I saw I turned back into a human.
"That's a pretty cool jewel there.." I hear Alex say, coughing. I stare at him.
"Alex. I'm sorry.." I tell him kissing his forehead. He kissing my cheek and falls onto the ground again.
"It's fine Tora, but..j-just let me rest for now.." Alex says closing his eyes. I smile and kiss his lips.
"Good night my love."
