Two men stood hunched together in a corner having a serious discussion. Both were tall and lean but one had jet black curly hair while the other had red hair that were straight. They couldn't seem to come to an agreement on the matter they were discussing.
"We have been banned! Get it in that thick head of yours." The red haired fellow said, completely agitated.
"That is completely preposterous!" Exclaimed the other.
"Ooh! Look at you, using big words."
"Why? Don't you know the meaning of preposterous?"
"Actually I do know the meaning. I just didn't know that you knew the word."
"Ohho! Burn!" Said a third person joining in their conversation.
"Shut up Farooq." They both said turning to him in unison.
"Sorry Shadab bhai," Farooq said turning towards Shadab. "But it was a definite-" He then put the tip of his finger on his lips and placed it on Shadab's shoulder making a sizzling sound.
"What? Hot?" Shadab asked.
"No. It was a definite burn. Didn't you understand the action?"
"You made a sizzling sound. And girls do that when they want to label something as hot."
"Dude, you are such a girl." Said the red head.
"Hey guys, could you just stop bickering for a sec. Mikail wants his mom." Said another guy coming up to the group with a black haired toddler in his arms. He saw his father among the group and immediately stretched his arms. Without a word, Shadab took Mikail from Fawad's arms.
"Hey big guy! You want to go to mommy?" Shadab asked Mikail. At the word mommy he started to look around and started to squirm in Shadab's arms. "I know, I know," Shadab said soothingly. "I wanna go there too."
"For the last time, you can't." The red head said again.
"Stop it Haroon! You wanna meet your wife or not?" Shadab was clearly irritated by now.
Haroon hung his head and said, "I do."
"Good. Then we're going in."
"Can we come too?" Fawad asked.
"Do you have wives?"
"No."
"Then, no."
Saying so Shadab marched forward with Haroon in tow. "I'm telling you dude, this is a bad idea."
"Dude! Are you afraid of something? I never would have thought you had such a wimpy side." Shadab laughed remembering the arguments they used to have, the meaningless banter and the angry stare-off in the early days that he had married his sister. After almost three years now, they were rubbing off on each other.
"Hey! Who are you calling a wimp?" Haroon said punching Shadab hard in the back.
"Oof! Bro! I have a child in my arms."
"Oh, I'm so sorry miss. Did that hurt?"
"Ha-Ha. Very funny."
They reached the doors behind which the all-ladies party was taking place. Shadab leaned forward to observe and found that the door was slightly ajar. "Okay. So here's what we're going to do." He said turning to face Haroon. Haroon looked at him as if he was going to pound him to a pulp. Ignoring the look on Haroon's face, he continued, "The door is ajar. So no one will notice if we slip right in. Then all we have to do is find our respective wives."
