1 - Get Me Out Of Here

***Ling er's POV***

I sighed and slammed my phone down on the table. No! Why did Xiao Kai have to get himself in jail? I know it was for me, but it was just pointless, and yes, it's stupid. I paced around the house, contemplating bailing him out or not. It's his fault. He was stupid enough to go over there and try to fight someone 3 times his size. He deserved what he got. But at the same time, he didn't. He was just being a good husband. I rolled my eyes, grabbed my keys, and headed to the jail. He's gonna get an ear full when he gets home.

"Hello, Miss. I'm sorry, but visiting hours are over." the guard told me.

"I'm not visiting. I'm here to bail out Mr. Wang Junkai. " I sighed. Hearing myself say that sent shivers down my spine.

"Well I'm terribly sorry Miss, but you're gonna have to wait until tomorrow. He has to stay the night." I sighed. There had to be a way to get Xiao Kai out of here. I looked at the guard, and he gave me a warm smile. He was totally checking me out. Time to put my good looks to use. I fluttered my eye lashes.

"Are you sure there's nothing you can do?" I used my highest voice possible, and kept fluttering my lashes. "It would make me ever so happy if you could just let me see him." I gave him a warm smile, and twirled my hair.

"Well, Miss I'd love to help you, but there's nothing I can do. It's against the rules. I'm terribly sorry though." Welp. I sighed and turned around. I'll just stay at Meizi's tonight.

"Yo, wuddup homie?" Meizi said through the phone.

"Seriously, Meizi? Homie?" she giggled, and I couldn't help but laugh as well. "Meizi, can I stay with you and Qian Xi tonight?"

"Of course. What happened? Did Xiao Kai hurt you? If he did, I'll kick his ass."

"No he didn't hurt me. He actually got himself hurt. He thought it would be a good idea to try and fight my dad after what you told him. I told you not to tell him, right? Ah, I knew that would happen..."

"Look I'm sorry, Ling er but I had to tell him. He called me up, and he sounded on the verge of tears. Plus, he's your husband after all! He should know if you're getting threats from your psycho dad..."

"Yes, but dear Meizi, this is what happens when he thinks I'm in some kind of danger! He just takes it upon himself to kill the guy, and then he ends up in the slammer."

"He just loves you, that's all. He feels like it's his job, and in a way, it is. Don't be so harsh on him, okay?" Meizi was right. I sighed, and headed to their place.

"I'll be there in 10. Byebye"

***Junkai's POV***

My cell was so cold. Don't they have heat in this bump? Hopefully I only need to stay this one night. I don't know what I'll do if I'm here more than that.

"All right, lights out." the cop said, suspending me from my thoughts. I sighed. There's no way I was getting any sleep tonight. I stared at the dark ceiling, praying that I would be out of here by tomorrow. Then I remembered my lip. Ling er is gonna be so angry. That guy really did a number on me there. I'm surprised I haven't lost any teeth. Although, my bottom lip is injured a bit. Oh well. I was fighting for my baby, and that's all that matter
