Flashback:

"So What's Up Fool?" Anthony Said. Semaj Was Laying Low In The Back Of A Dirty Ass Diner, That Was Next To A Truck Stop. He Had Ran For Almost An Hour After The Fire At Dex's House Spread And That's When He Wounded Up Where He Was.

"Shit...I'm Still On The Run And I Need A Place To Stay." Semaj Said.

"Well Aye Man...Mi Casa Es Su Casa. You're More Than Welcomed To Stay Here." Anthony Said.

"I Appreciate That Man, But Look...My Ride Is Fucked Up And Ima Need For You To Come Get Me." He Said. Anthony Glanced At Lacey Who Was Fast Asleep. He Really Didn't Want Semaj Anywhere Near His Wife Because He Knew How His Cousin Was, But He Couldn't Turn Down His Family.

"Aight Cool. I Can't Leave Until Tomorrow Though So Ima Need For You To Find Somewhere To Stay Until Then." Anthony Whispered. Semaj Sighed As He Wiped My Face. Where The Hell Was I Gonna Stay Until Tomorrow? He Thought To Himself.

"I Don't Know Where Ima Stay, But I'll Figure Something Out." He Said.

"Aight Man, But Check This Out...You Can't Stay Here Long." Anthony Said, Sternly.

"I Already Know. I Know You A Family Man Now And I Respect That." Semaj Said.

"Right, But You Could've Had This Life Too Bruh. Don't You Got A Daughter Or Something?" He Asked. Semaj Sighed Heavily. Just The Thoughts Of His Daughter Made Him Upset. He Wished He Could've Been A Better Man And Father To Her, But The Way His Relationship With Asia Was Set Up...That Was Never Going To Happen.

"Yeah I Do. I Ain't Gon Lie...I Wish I Could've Been A Better Man And A Better Father To Her. She Doesn't Even Know Who I Am." Semaj Said, Sadly. He Knew He Should've Stopped His Bullshit The Minute Asia Told Him She Was Pregnant. It Was Easier Said Then Done, But He Just Wished He Would've Gotten His Shit Together.

"Hello?!" Anthony Snapped, Interrupting Him From His Deep Thoughts. He Was Tired And Ready To Get In The Bed With His Wife.

"Yeah...My Bad Cuz." Semaj Said.

"It's Cool. I Know You Stressed And Everything So I'm Gon Let You Go. You Make Sure You're At This Address You Gave Me. It Won't Take Me Long To Get To You." He Said.

"I Will Man. Thanks Again And I'll See You Tomorrow." He Said.

"No Problem Fool. Blood Is Thicker Than Water So You Know Ima Always Have Ya Back." Anthony Said. And He Meant Exactly What He Was Saying.

"Hm...That's A Bet My Nigga." Semaj Said, Hanging Up With His Cousin.

After A Few Days Of Being In The Hospital And Being Interrogated By The Police, I Was Finally Cleared And Released To Go Home To My Kids. My Mom Has Been Watching Them Since Everything Happened And I Was Relieved That She Was Able To Get Them After They Were Taken By Child Protective Services. I Haven't Seen Or Heard From Lacey In Awhile And I Hoped And Prayed That She And Morgan Were Alright. Yeah She Rubbed Me The Wrong Way, But At The End Of The Day...Morgan Was SaMiyah's Half Sister And I Just Hoped She Was Alright.

"Mommy!" SaMiyah Squealed When I Came Into The House. As Much As I Wanted To Kneel Down And Hug Her, I Was Still In A Lot Of Pain.

"Hey Boo." I Said.

"Come Sit Down And Relax. Girl Your Kids Have Been Up All Morning Long And They Refuse To Go To Sleep!" My Sister Said. I Giggled As I Slowly Sat Down On The Couch And Laid My Head Back.

"Savannah Will Take A Nap, But You Have To Rock Her To Sleep. SaMiyah, On The Other Hand, Probably Won't Take A Nap. She Says Naps Are For Babies." I Said.

"But They Are!" SaMiyah Chimed In. I Giggled As India Came Back Into The Loving Room With Savannah On Her Shoulder.

"There's My Baby." I Cooed. India Sat Her Down In My Lap And I Kissed Her Forehead.

"She Is Such A Sweetheart And She Looks So Much Like Dex." She Said. Just Hearing Dex's Name Made Me Upset. I Didn't Know What Was Going On With Him, Nor Did I Know If He Was Dead Or Alive. Thankfully My Mom Was Working At The Hospital Today And She Told Me That She Was Going To Let Me Know The Status Of How He Was Doing.

"Mommy? Why Are You Crying?" SaMiyah Asked Me. I Didn't Even Realize I Was Crying As I Quickly Wiped My Tears Away.

"No Reason Baby. I'm Just Happy To Be Home With You And Your Sister." I Said, Stroking Her Long Curly Hair. For The Rest Of The Day, I Relaxed And Got My Rest While India Took Care Of The Girls For Me. I Was Fast Asleep On The Couch Until I Heard The Front Door Open And Close. My Eyes Shot Open As I Quickly Looked Over And Saw My Mom Taking Off Her Jacket.

"Hi Mom." I Said, Trying To Slowly Sit Myself Up.

"Hi Honey. Don't Try And Sit Up. You Need To Lay Down." She Said.

"I'm Fine. So Did You Ever Hear What Was Wrong With Dex?" I Asked.

"Where Are The Kids? And Did India Cook Dinner?" She Asked, Completely Ignoring Me.

"India's Upstairs Giving Them A Bath, And Your Dinner Is In The Oven. Now Can You Tell Me What They Said About Dex?" I Asked Again. She Sighed As She Sat Down Next To Me And Grabbed My Hand.

"Asia...I'm So Sorry." She Said. My Bottom Lip Started Trembling As My Eyes Filled With Tears.

"No...No! I Know You're Not About To Tell Me What I Think You're Gonna Tell Me!" I Cried.

"Asia..." My Mom Said, But I Cut Her Off.

"Please Tell Me He's Not Dead Mom! Please Say He's Not!" I Begged. I Couldn't And Wouldn't Believe That My Fiancée Was Dead. Dex Was Indestructible So I Know She Was Lying.

"I'm Sorry Baby, But He's Gone. One Of The Bullets Pierced His Heart And He Died As Soon As He Went Into Surgery." She Said. I Was Shaking Severely As I Cried My Eyes Out. He's Gone! I Can't Believe The Love Of My Life Was Gone!
