Background info
You are one of the lucky people to live/work in Negan's compound. You've both flirted with each other in the past. Negan and a few of his best soldiers had gone off on a mission to collect more supplies. You had developed a blister that covered the entire middle section of your right foot and after having the peeled skin removed it revealed dark pink flesh. You had been told to rest up by the compound's medic. The pain in your foot was starting to fade and was starting to look better you told yourself as you removed the gauze. You applied a thin layer of cream and applied a new piece of gauze. You made sure it stayed in place by putting on 6 socks onto that foot. It seemed to do the job and enabled you to actually walk a little less like a robot.
You tried to limit your movements but still had to hobble down to the cafeteria 3 times a day so you couldn't rest as much as you would like to.
Today you decided to take a book with you and sit in the cafeteria so you didn't have to move at all. You also decided to limit your liquid intake to minimize the number of toilet trips you needed.
You were half way through reading one of Sherlock Holmes' cases when Dwight and a few other men, which you'd only seen every so often, entered the room. They carried a few large cardboard boxes between them.
"C'mon open up!", one banged his hand against the metal shutter.
"Pfft", a few muttered. You tried to avoid their gazes hoping they wouldn't spot you in the corner of the room.
A cook opened the kitchen door and they started talking about the mission they had just returned from. You tried not to listen but with no other sounds in the room you couldn't help yourself.
"That Rick is really getting under Negan's skin. It won't be long until he kisses his head with Lucille"
"Oh brilliant, is he in one of his moods again?", the cook sighed.
"Yeah", Dwight joined in the conversation as he helped carry the boxes into the kitchen. You heard the cooks opening the boxes and start putting the new inventory in the pantry.
"Chocolate! It's Christmas oh my god!", a cook exclaimed and you smiled. You hadn't seen a chocolate bar since the apocalypse started.
The cooks began to discuss what they could do with a few chocolate bars to treat everyone in the compound.
One of the men said over his shoulder as they began to leave the canteen, "Don't bother making Negan anything he doesn't deserve it". How dare he say that? Negan had taken in everyone here out of the goodness of his heart. Well that's what you tell yourself anyway. Why shouldn't Negan get any food? He deserved it more than anyone here.
You pondered on it for a minute or two longer before continuing with your book.
Tea time soon came around and you only had to move a few metres to get your food. Tonight it was soup with a few pieces of pasta and a chocolate chip muffin. The soup was watered down to make a pinkish coloured liquid. You've tasted better but you've also tasted worse. You had grown used to the almost school like food they served on a daily basis here.
Once you finished your soup you stared intently at the muffin for a while. Take it to Negan or eat it yourself. Too-ing and fro-ing. Should you or shouldn't you.
You were grateful that no one really notices you in here, especially now as you stared at the muffin on the table in front of you, otherwise you'd be sent to the medic for a mental examination.
You bit your tongue lightly in thought, before deciding what option you were going to take. You picked up the muffin and headed out the canteen. There were no rules as to where you can and can't eat as long as you don't litter the place. So most people would have thought you were going to your room to eat your dessert. However you would feel guilty eating such a luxury when your leader hasn't eaten a thing since possibly the morning he left on his mission which was 2 days ago.
