Chapter 4

J-Fred's POV

I don't know what to do now. Ever since Matt and Amanda announced that they were no longer together, I've been feeling so strange. The end of their relationship shouldn't make me this happy, right? He's like my brother. No, he literally is my brother.

My room door came open and in walked Matthias. He wasn't smiling like he usually is. He didn't say anything at first either, he just came and sat next to me on my bed. I stared at him waiting to see if he would speak.

"Hey," Matthias said. I was expecting more than just a hey.

"Hi," I responded.

"What happened down there? You left kind of suddenly."

"It's nothing really. I'm just not in the mood for editing videos right now." I laughed jokingly, trying to lighten the mood.

"You're lying. You love editing, it's your favorite part," he called me out. He was right, I loved the editing process. I couldn't think of another excuse so I just told him the truth.

"It just feels weird knowing you and Amanda are broken up. I don't know what it is, but it just seems strange." I admitted. He seemed to be thinking this over, formulating his response.

"This doesn't change anything between all of us. We'll all still be friends and you and I will still be brothers. Nothing less, nothing more." he smiled.

It was supposed to make me feel better, but hearing him say nothing more only made me feel worse. I ignored it, however. "You're right. Let's go back before Bryan edits pit stains on us in our video."
