Matthias POV
We made our way back downstairs where we found Bryan more than halfway finished with the editing process. he didn't seem to notice us coming down. I cleared my throat to get his attention.
He jumped slightly before turning around. "Oh, hey guys. Everything alright?" he said.
I nodded. "It seems like you got a lot of work done down here."
"Yeah. In fact, I think I can manage the rest on my own. You two should go out, enjoy the nice day." He smiled glancing towards J-Fred who smiled back at him.
"If you say so," J-Fred said. "I know the perfect spot, Matt." We headed for the door.
"Have fun you two," Amanda called from upstairs.
"We will," I responded before heading out to J-Fred's car and settling into the passenger's seat. "So where are we going?" I asked when J-Fred buckled his seat belt.
"It's a surprise." He said with a smirk. I huffed and slumped down in my seat. We were riding for about half an hour before we came to a stop.
"So where are we?" I asked when I noticed that the spot looked completely deserted.
J-Fred laughed. "Technically, this isn't the place. We have a little walking to do before we get there."
I stared at him in confusion but he just grabbed my arm and pulled me along with him. We walked across a long dirt path, attempting to avoid the thorns and bugs. When we got to the other side, with only minor injuries, I looked around at where we were. In the distance, I could people of all ages: couples, families, and even some individuals.
I started heading towards that way, but I felt a jerk on my hand. I looked back and noticed that J-Fred wasn't moving. "What's wrong?" I asked.
He only smiled and pulled me in the other direction, away from civilization and into another dirt path. When we came to the other side again, there were significantly fewer people, but they were all sitting around a lake with crystal clear water. As we approached, I noticed the lake was full of different kinds of exotic fish.
J-Fred let go of my hand and sat in the grass. He looked back up at me with a curious look on his face. "Aren't you going to sit down." I smiled and nodded, taking a seat next to him on the soft, warm grass. It was truly a beautiful day and I was happy just to be spending it with my best bro.
Before you kill me Omegagirly I have a legitimate reason this time. I was writing this chapter and it was completely finished and all I had to do was go through and edit. So I decided to work on my other story for a while. However, the laptop had different ideas because when I hit back, the whole thing shut down and none of it saved. So I went into "upset mode" and didn't want to rewrite it all. But after a few days, I figured you guys truly deserved an update, so I got over it and rewrote it for you.
