Blair's P.O.V
Three months later
"Oh my god Cheryl! I'm going to be late on my first day....shit shit shit." I cursed out.
Today was my first day working as Sean's assistant at his company.
I still remember our conversation when I saw him a week ago. I was still in between jobs and was yet to find a job that actually paid nicely. I ran into him at a restaurant. I was just walking in and he had just been done with a meeting.
"Blair! Fancy running into you." He exclaimed with a broad smile.
"Sean..it's been a while. How've you been?" I smiled back at him. I had totally forgotten about him.
"I'm fine, great actually. How are you? I heard you uh....broke things off with Christian?" He asked hesitantly.
I could feel my cheeks burn. Ofcorce he'd heard. Everyone had heard. It was really sort of impossible not to hear if the person you broke up with was the Christian Davidson .
"I'm good. I just came in here to get a coffee before I get back to my job." I said, ignoring the question about Christian.
"I think I can use a coffee now too. Mind if I join you? My treat." He offered.
I agreed and we brought our lattes and sat in a nearby booth.
"So you said something about a job. Where're you working?" He asked
"Oh....I'm interning at Sterling co. It's just a temporary thing but I took what I could get." I said casually.
His smile turned into a frown and he asked,"You're interning at sterling! Why didn't you apply at my company? "
"Well....it never really crossed my mind." I began but Sean interrupted me.
"Well that hurts Blair," he said while pretending to be actually hurt, "no, seriously. I'm looking for an assistant and I think you fit he Bill."
"Sean, you're just saying that because you want to help me." I protested
"I'm most defiantly not. You are a Harvard graduate if I remember correctly and most people would kill to have you as their assistant." He said nonchalantly.
"Okay. Thank-you Sean." I said gratefully.
And today was my first day and I was going to be late!
As I entered the elevator I took a look in the mirror. Cher insisted I wear the hottest clothes so that Sean would ask me out again which I honestly didn't think would happen. I mean I'd left the guy in a party without even saying a proper goodbye! Nevertheless I was now standing in a very formfitting black pencil skirt and I white dress shirt with white stilettos. I looked nice.
I rushed to the address he had given me and in all my hurry I hadn't even noticed that.......Sean and Christian worked in the same building! Crap! I hadn't seen Christian in over three months and if wasn't planning to anytime soon. I had seen him in magazines and on the news with various women but never face to face. What if we run into each other now?
I quickly brushed away the thoughts as there was no turning back now anyways. I got into the elevators where thankfully there were no Christian encounters. Sean's office is on the 34th floor while Christians' is on the top most floor. Obviously.
I got off on the 34th floor and saw that everyone was busy doing something so I went up to the receptionist. She's blonde and looks like a model.
"Hi. I'm mr Sean's new assistant." I smile at her.
