Blair's P.O.V
It had been a week since the Christian incident. I hadn't left the house once after that.I was awakened the next morning because of a severe headache. It was probably because I cried so much last night. I cried every night. It's a miracle I hadn't fainted.
The waterworks threatened to start again but I willed myself not to cry. Not over him. He was just a guy after all. Just a guy that I was madly in love with. God! What had I gotten myself into?
Not wanting to deal with anymore of my complicated love life, I freshened up and went to get some breakfast, suddenly feeling very hungry. Cher was already on the kitchen counter having oatmeal.
"Hey Blair. Are you okay?" She asked, the concern showing on her face.
"Yes.....no" I said. "Christian came by last night."
"What did that jerk want? I swear if I ever lay my hands on-"
"He just wanted to talk Cher. Explain why he did.....what he did. But I didn't let him in. I didn't want to face him." I confessed.
"You did the right thing. And you don't have to work for him anymore. We'll find you another job."
"I can't work there anymore. I'll send my resignation letter right now and then I'll go job hunting. I had a couple of offers before I started at Davidson enterprises and some of them might still be available."
"That's perfect Blair but are you sure you want to start working from today. I mean you can take a few days off you know, comfort yourself."
"Non sense. I don't need comforting. Christian was just a guy and this isn't my first heartbreak. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get dressed." And with that I was off.

As I stepped out of the house I was bombarded with flashes from all corners. They were everywhere. Oh my god! I completely forgot about the paparazzi. They were asking all kinds of questions.
"Did you know that Christian had a mistress Blair ?" I heard someone shout.
"Did you know Christian was cheating on you?" Another one asked and then the questions were all pretty much elaborated version of this.
I really didn't want to deal with this but I knew Christian would see the news and I didn't want him to think I would be a coward like all the other of his 'girls', so I pulled down my sun glasses, stuck up my nose and walked right up to the curb and hailed a cab. I was not going to let this little incident describe me as a weak person.
The first firm I interviewed at wasn't as big as Davidson enterprises but it was a well known company. The interview went smoothly and no one questioned me about Christian, they all just gave me sympathetic smiles and moved on. Moving on was exactly what I had to do.
Before I could go for my second interview, I got a call from the first place I interviewed at saying that I had gotten the job. I was starting from tomorrow so I decided the best thing to do was go back home.
When I got off the cab, I made sure to check that there were no limos waiting around the curb. I was not in a position to talk to Christian. I quickly paid of my fare and went inside the apartment, thoroughly exhausted from my long day.
Once I was inside the comfort of my apartment, I let the tears that I had been holding from such a long time flow. I glanced down at my phone to check which had been silent all afternoon to realize that I had over a hundred missed calls, almost all of which were from Christian. Why couldn't he just let me be ?
I went through a few of them. His voice seemed broken but all the messages had the same thing:
"Blair I'm sorry!"
"Blair please let me explain."
"Blair please forgive me."
But I couldn't forgive him. He had broken my heart by proving that I was just like all the other girls he'd slept with. And I mad the big mistake of thinking I was different. How stupid had I been! I would never even have found out if it wasn't for the news. He must've been doing this for the past three months.
"Hey blai- are you crying again?" Cher said. She must've come in without me even noticing.
"No, I'm not crying." I lied, wiping away any tears
"B, you know you can't lie to me." She said enveloping me in one of her infamous hugs. "He's not worth your tears Blair."
"I know....it's just.....I think I....l..loved him." I let it out. I just had to tell some one.
"Oh Blair, I am so so sorry."
"It's okay...I'm okay. Look, let's not talk about him." I said, tired of this conversation
"Okay! How were your interviews? Did you get a job?"
"Yes I got a job. But I'll have to get my things from Davidson and co."
"Don't worry, I'll get them for you." Cher said helpfully.
"Thank you Cher. But I'll have to face him sometime. I can't just run away from him." I confessed. It was true. I had to meet him.
"Okay, but you can do that in your own time and pace. In the meantime, your office is still open, I'll go collect your stuff and get some comfort food. Seriously girl, this is your excuse to pig out. And what have you even had since like a week? You've lost like 10 pounds." That was Cher. Always noticing the best in situations like this, I thought with a smile.
Once she left, I knew what I had to do. Mustering up all the courage that I had, I called up Christian .
He picked it up in the second ring.
"Blair?" He said like he couldn't believe it was me.
"Hello Christian." I said, willing my voice not to break.
"Oh Blair, please, just please let me-"
"I want you to stop calling me Christian." I cut him off.
"Blair, I promise I'll stop calling if you just let me see you. Once. That all." He pleaded .
".........okay, meet me at 54th and 3rd. It's a secluded area and not many people will see us there." And I hung up the phone.
Once I was ready, I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked horrible! I put on some makeup to make me look more alive but there was only so much I could do. I had put on a dress that once used to be very tight but was now some what loose. I put on some stiletto heels and headed out.
Once outside, I made sure that there was no paparazzi to hound me. I quickly made my way to the cab and gave him the address. The cab ride seemed like an eternity. I was nervous. I didn't know how to face Christian. Would I forgive him? Would he really have a valid explanation? My thoughts were interrupted by the cab drivers voice.
"54th and 3rd. We're here ma'am."
"Thank-you." I paid the fare and got of. This was it. I was going to see the man who had crushed my heart.
The area was very quite and there was no one in sight save for an elderly woman with a walking stick. The sun had gone down hours before so the only light as coming from the street lamps above. I walked some distant to a nearby phone booth when I saw a silhouette of a man. A very handsome man. Christian.
He was standing so that his back was to me. He hadn't heard me walk in so I took some time to drink him in because I knew this might just be my last chance to do that.
