Author's POV
Mark took one last look back before he followed the rest of the boys into the plane's boarding area. He was still hopeful that he'd see Eunseo standing there, waving at them and wishing them a safe trip at least. He then thought that it was better not to see her sad face there, because it would break his heart thinking about it while they're in Japan.
As mentioned in previous chapters, Mark didn't stop thinking about the girl for days. He never told the members because he himself didn't believe his feelings for her. He succumbed to the truth when he spent time again with Eunseo, when he slowly felt his feelings taking over him.
Everyday he would think about her, wonder what she's doing, if she's eating well or feeling well, if she's safe or if she's seeing somebody. All these things Mark thought for days, until he confirmed that he wants this girl he's been thinking of to be more than friends with him.
Even though he was motivated, Mark never seemed to find the right chance to ask Eunseo out. Whenever he'd get into the mood, Eunseo would divert his attention to something else. Mark compared Eunseo to a fish once. She was that fish he caught but slipped out of his grip several times, causing him to scream "Naekkoya" at her. But Eunseo wasn't a fish. She was a goddess.
Mark sat down and fiddled with his phone again, looking at fans' tweets and checked WJSN's official page. Finding nothing new was posted by the account, he immediately tapped on a fan account dedicated to Eunseo. His eyes smiled at the recent photos of her posted there. She looked as lovely as always, especially when she smiles like that. Now it got him to thinking -- should he finally ask her out? Would he be able to make her smile like that if he does? He stared at his phone for a few minutes deciding.
He's had not a single relationship since debut, and now that he's twenty-four, what could he possibly regret? He just hoped Eunseo wouldn't mind having a boyfriend 5 years older than her.
