I drive my yellow bug to granny's. I can't get Regina's beautiful face out of my mind. She's so sexy.. i want to make a good impression on her. Awh who am i kidding, she's probably married. I don't even believe she's gay. Omg Emma stop it, not every good looking woman you meet is attracted to other women. I park my car in front of the diner. I walk in and i see a few people enjoying their snacks and drinks. There are some tables in the middle of the diner and a few bunks with benches that make some more space to sit. The bunks seem to be more popular than the tables. "Welcome to Granny's, good looking. Can i help you?" The waitress behind the bar asks me. She's about my age, a brunette with a red string in her long hair and green eyes that look like the full moon. She's wearing a red apron for her work at the diner and she's wearing a beautiful, friendly smile on her face. "Hi, hot chocolate with cinnamon please."-- "Coming right up..!" She hesitates for a while before asking me a question that's burning for her to know. "I haven't seen you here before. Are you just passing by?" She looks at me while getting my chocolate milk ready. "Well yeah, something like that, but i think i'll stay a few days."She passes me my order. "Well, you can book a room here if you like. We're not fully booked yet. Not that we're ever." She grins. "So what do you say? Want me to call my granny for you?" I smile thankfully and accept her offer. She's going into the kitchen to tell her granny that i'd like a room. After a minute she came back with, i assume, her grandmother.
"Honey, are you sure you want to stay in this shit hole of a town?" I giggle a bit when i hear granny curse. She looks like a strong independent old lady, who doesn't care what other people think. A heavy weight with a lot of memories about this town. "Yes, well i have my reasons, so i'd like a room, please." I try not to laugh and i see the waitress looking at me and understands exactly how i feel. "Well, you're a mysterious one aren't you? My name is Ruby. The hot chocolate is on me. A little welcome gift." I give a generous nod to thank her. "I am Emma, thank you for the chocolate milk." I say a little too flirty. Well if i can read the signals, Ruby started it. We giggle and then she continues her work. Well this attractive woman is obviously into other women.

I arrive at Henry's school when the bell rings to give the signal that school is over. After a minute or 2 Henry comes out running. "Mam! I missed you!" He says enthusiastic. "I missed you too, sweety. Let's start walking, because we are going to Granny's to get some pie!" His eyes widen at the word "pie" and he starts jumping around. We leave the schoolground and i face Henry. "There is another reason we are going to Granny's, honey." He looks at me with confusion, so i just tell him off straight. "Your birth mother is in town to meet you. We called yesterday, and she came as soon as possible."I smile at my son and wait for his reaction. He looks happy but also a little bit scared. "Really? She is here? At Granny's? Are you serious?" -- "Haha, so many questions Henry. Yes i'm serious. So how about it sweety? Like to meet her?"--"Yes, yes, yes! But.. mom.. what if she doesn't like me?" His face just turned from happy to sad. "Oh Henry, of course she will like you." What if she likes him too much, and wants him back? She seemed nice but yet i don't know the woman. She's just a very sexy blonde.. okay stop it Regina, she had Henry so she's not gay..and you're in denial. I can't find her attractive, i just can't.

We are only a minute away from Granny's. I hate to see Ruby, her very openly gayness is always showing and she is so proud of being a lesbian.. i hate it. I always feel a loathing coming over me when i walk in and feel like she always knows about my secret. Snap out of it Regina, time to be professional now.
We walk into the diner and the bell rings, like it always does when someone comes in. Which is slightly annoying because all the heads turn around out of curiousity. I see Emma and Ruby talk and giggle to eachother and i can easily see Ruby is trying to win her over. I even think it works on her too. Is Emma into women? I think to myself. "Come Henry, let's sit at one of the bunks." He is looking around to see if he sees anyone he never met before. Then i see him lock his eye on the blonde lady with the red leather jacket. I see Emma turn our way and i nod that she can come over to sit with us. "Is that her mom?" Henry's eyes widen and i believe he also sees how beautiful his birth mother is. "Yes Henry, meet your biological mother." --"Hey there kid, i am Emma, can i sit with you?" Henry looks at his fingers and is trying to be polite, but he is too shy to look at her. "Yes you can, my name is Henry." He smiles a little and then shoves to the other side of the bench to let Emma take place next to him.

"Your mother called me the other night that you wanted to meet me, i really wanted to meet you too. So here i am. I can understand this is a little weird for you, it is for me too, but i think we can make it work." I'm trying to make him feel comfortable and i see he's loosing up already. "I found you myself! You know how cool it is that you're an FBI agent! Those people are like super heroes!' " I look at Regina who looks proud of him but also a little sad that her son just called me a super hero. "You found me yourself? Well then maybe you can be an FBI agent yourself someday!" I tell him and his eyes widen. "You think so? That would be awesome! But i think i'll become a real super hero instead." He wears this big grin on his face while saying this and sketches his uniform for us. We both start laughing and it doesn't feel weird at all anymore. "Can i take your order, Henry, madam Mayor?" Ruby stands at our table and gives me a wink. "I like hot chocolate with cinnamon, please!" I just stare at the kid because of his order and then look at Ruby, who now obviously knows my reason for coming here.
We talk about Henry growing up and he asks about my life in New York and that he really wants to go there someday. I find out my kid is a genius at school and i can't be any more proud of him and the way Regina raised him. Then Henry suddenly raises his hand like he is in school. "I have to go to the toilet, be right back!" And runs off to the back of the diner.

"Why did you give him up, miss Swan?" She's looking at me with this professional Mayor face on her, which is quit sexy. "Oh, miss Mills.. i was 17 when i got pregnant. I had so much regret that i even got pregnant. The adoption was arranged when he hadn't been born yet, i told myself i couldn't go back, so they took him away from me when he was born, so i couldn't change my mind. I didn't even hold him." I felt a sadness coming over me. "You felt regret when you got pregnant? How?" No, stop asking because i feel i owe you the truth. I think to myself. "I was in denial miss Mills. I always knew i was gay, but i hated myself for it so i hooked up with this boy i met on the streets. I slept with him and got pregnant. I felt so much regret that i slept with him, i felt dirty. I knew i was gay so why did i even bother to try and change that. This child, Henry..wasn't made out of love, but out of me not being able to accept myself. I couldn't get over that, so i gave him up for adoption, to give him his best chance with a blank sleeve to start with."
"You are a lesbian?" She asked me with a surprising look on her face.

She's gay? Did she really just say that? And in denial? We may have a lot more in common then i know..
"Yes, i am. After they took my baby away i changed things for myself. I could finally accept myself for who i am. But i had so much regret too, because i gave him up." The sad look on Emma's face made me want to comfort her. I'm thankful she gave him up, but this is really messed up for her. I stare at the blonde and before i could say anything Henry returned from his bathroom break.
"Mom, can i put on a song on the jukebox?" I look at the little guy and raise an eyebrow. "Which song are you going to play sweety?" I ask as i give him a penny for the jukebox in the corner. "I'm not telling!" And he runs to the jukebox.
"You know, Ruby is gay. She is an attractive girl, don't you think? Maybe you can ask her out. If you're interested in playfull behaviour that is. Or do you have a girlfriend..or wife?" Omg what did i just say.. i should totally shut up now. I feel like i'm acting like an idiot around her.
"Yeah, Ruby is very sexy indeed. Well maybe i will, she's nice. Not really my type, but she is gorgeous." Emma is looking at the bar where Ruby is standing and then looks back at me. "How about you? Does Henry have a father? Are you married, divorced?" Okay, i did not see this coming. I don't want to talk about this. "I-- am a single mother, always have been and i always raised him on my own. I am independent you know....Ruby is coming back, this is your chance." I push her to ask Ruby out. This is for my own protection, my reputation. Finally Henry picked out his song on the jukebox and Rod Steward's - Do ya think i'm sexy is playing. I look at Henry and try not to feel awkward because this song is totally capturing my mood right now. "Ok miss Mills, i WILL ask her out." She grins at me and i smile back. "Yes you should do that, miss Swan." What did i do.. why do i feel jealous about this? "Can i get you ladies anything else to drink?" Emma gives me a look that says, here i go. And i just sit there playing with my fingers. "Well, you can tomorrow night Ruby, i pick you up at 8." My eyes widen as i hear how smoothly Emma just asked Ruby out and i see in the corner of my eye that Ruby is happy about the outcome. "Is that a date Emma? 'Cause if it is, you are going to buy ME a drink tomorrow. Pick me up at 8." She gives Emma a beautiful smile and walks back to the bar. I don't think i hate Ruby..i hate myself for living a lie.. i should have asked Emma out. No, what am i thinking! She's a woman, and Henry's birth mother. I should dislike her for walking into our lives. But it's what Henry wants..

"Henry, we're going home. Say bye to Emma now." Henry runs back to the table. "Are you staying for a while?" Emma looks back at me. "Yes kid i will, if your mother is ok with it." I'm happy that she's thinking about my feelings instead of her own. "Enjoy your date tomorrow, miss Swan. We'll be seeing you around." Henry waves at his birth mother and we walk out of the diner.
