After changing into a different outfit, i go back to the kitchen to start cooking. I hope Emma likes seafood. I think to myself as Henry is coming into the kitchen. 'What's for dinner?' He ask with a frown on his face. 'It's double smoked salmon with a horseradish cream filling, sweety.' - 'Eewl mom. Do i have to eat that?..Yuck' - 'Not only you have to eat it Henry, you are also going to like it.' I say with a smile. He walks back to the living room when the doorbell rings. 'I'll take that!' He yells from the other room as i look at the time and it says 6.03 pm. My heart starts racing as i clearly know who's at the door.
'Good evening miss Mills.' Emma stands around the corner and gives me a polite smile. 'Mom, i'm going to watch TV before dinner.' - 'Okay sweety.. Hi Emma.' An awkward silence falls over us. 'Please, take a seat.' I say as Emma does what i say.

I take a seat at the kitchen table. 'Salmon, nice.' I smile as i see the dish Regina is cooking. - 'i'm glad you like it.' She smiles back. I hesitate for a moment and look into the living room. Henry is watching TV with his back towards the kitchen. 'So about that text of yours.' I say as i try to make eye contact with Regina. 'What about my text?' She says in confusion. 'Miss Mills..' - 'Please, just call me Regina like we dicussed.' - 'Fine, Regina. Are we going to forget about what happend?' - 'Emma, this conversation is over right now. Henry is sitting right there.' She lowers her voice. I stand up and walk towards Regina. As i come closer i reach for her hand. 'I'm going to try this one last time. But then, i'm done.' I say as i look into her eyes. I grab her waist with my right hand and pull her closer. Leaning in slowly and whisper: 'I am falling for you Regina. Stop ignoring this chemistry between us.' She comes closer to me and before i know it i feel her soft lips pressed against mine. It feels so good. Until Regin pulls away. 'I'm sorry Emma. I can't do this.' She says as she goes back to the salmon. 'Ok, i can't do this either.' I say as i walk back to the kitchen table.
'Henry, dinner is ready!' Regina calls her son over to the kitchen. After a minute he takes a seat next to me at the table. 'So kid, how was your day?' He tells me about his day when Regina interrupts. 'Emma, what did you want to talk about?' I face Henry 'Oh, right. Henry, i need to tell you something..i have to go back to New York.' Henry looks confused when suddenly he smiles. 'Yeah, i know. There's only one week left to do stuff.' - 'No, kid.. i mean, i have to go tomorrow.' I finally realize i'm being selfish. Again, i am leaving my son. I am leaving because things don't go my way. I see a sadness in his eyes. 'But.. you just got here. Please don't go yet.' In the corner of my eye i spot Regina, silenced. 'Kid, listen to me. It's not because i want to leave. I really want to stay with you. They need me at work things are falling apart. But you can call me whenever you want. And i will visit you from time to time.' It's not really a lie. Things really do fall apart according to Tamara. Henry stands up and walks away. I try to stop him when Regina grabs my arm. 'Just let him. For now.' She says. 'For how long? I leave tomorrow morning.' - 'Why are you leaving, Emma?' She asks seriously. 'Regina, i'll keep in touch with him. But i can't stay here.' - 'Fine. Leave. Now.' We look at eachother for what seems like minutes when i stand up and make my way to the door. I turn around one more time, but Regina is staying put.

To be continued.
