Chapter Two

Hermione looked at him with wide eyes after he pulled away and her cheeks turned a deep red with a blush. "I…I-it's okay, Draco. I forgive you." He turned away, blushing as well.

"Thanks. I really hope that we can be friends, or, maybe something more.... Hermione, I really like you." Hermione continued to look at him with surprise and when he finished speaking, she replied.

"But you always hated me. What changed? I mean, I know you did, but I thought you would always just not like me at all."

"Me not liking you was a lie. I always acted like I didn't because I did not know how to tell you. I was young and that's how I was raised during that time." His grey eyes looked into her brown ones.

"Oh," Hermione said, unable to think of anything else to say. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she was sure he could hear it. "I..I think I like you too, Draco." Draco was euphoric. Hermione liked him. He liked her. Bloody hell, he might have even loved her. He leaned in and kissed her again, his hand cupping her cheek and slightly touching her bushy brown hair. Hermione lifted her own hands to his hair, tangling her fingers into the soft locks. Her thoughts were racing, but she couldn't think properly at all from this euphoric feeling that was coursing through her veins.

"I like you so much Hermione. You are my everything and I don't think I could stand life without you." He grabbed her by the waist and brought her closer to him so they could become tangled with each other. She felt tears in her eyes at his words. Her heart felt like it was about to burst from her chest.

"I never thought I'd hear that from anyone,” she whispered against his lips before kissing him again. Never had she thought anyone would need her like he said he did. All her life she felt like the kind of girl that would only ever be someone's friend, but now she was someone's everything.

Draco set her on his lap and just held her. He didn't want to mess this up.

"You just did," Draco replied. He lightly pecked her cheek and wrapped his arms around her tightly, not wanting to let her go. Hermione had her arms around him as well and rested her head in the crook of his neck. Part of her felt like this was moving all too fast, but the other part of her had been lonely and now felt whole.

"What will Harry and Ron think?" she wondered in a soft whisper.

"Were you ever with Ron?" Draco whispered to her, trailing tiny kisses down her neck. He felt her shiver and he laughed, his breath blowing right behind her ear. Hermione was finding it hard to answer as he kissed down her neck, and she bit her lip to suppress a moan.

            "N-No.. We're just friends."

"Well if you were never with Ron then it's his loss. I really like you, and I don't want to lose you because they don't like it. Potter seems like he would be more understanding. I didn't just save him. He saved me, too." He saw her bite her lip and knew the effect that he was having on her. She tilted her head to look at him and licked her lips.

"Yeah.. I know. And Ron does have a bit of a temper, I'll have you know." She said softly. "But they're my friends, and it would mean a lot if they were okay with.. this."

Draco laughed. "Yeah. What are we, exactly, for them to be okay with?" He looked at her and his face softened. She was so beautiful he couldn't stand it.
