Thunderstorms

Hey, sorry I haven't been active~ I kinda forgot about my story. ITS DESTIEL I SWEAR. Also, this is on a mobile, sooo, it'll have a lot of mistakes. Destiel isn't cannon yet, but not for long. *Evilly grins while winking at the same time*

~Sam's POV~

It was storming. Hard. Like, harder than normally. Gabe and I were watching a movie, while cuddling, so we weren't phased, but I wasn't so sure about Dean and Cas- mostly Cas.

~Cas' POV~

I was fine with the rain. But the thunder and lightning? Not so much. I'm not a fan of loud noises, especially when they happen randomly. Dean was asleep in the bed across the room. I was trying to be quiet, but I couldn't help but to whimper and flinch every time the booming sound of thunder hit my ears.

~Dean's POV~

I was awoken by the sound of thunder, and I'm glad I was. I got up just in time to see Cas jump and whimper to the sound, followed by him pulling the covers over his head. I hurried over to him, to make sure he was okay.

"Cas are you okay?!"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, I just don't  like storms that much." He sheepishly replied.

I sat down next to him, "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I was embarrassed. Who is afraid of thunderstorms?"

"Cas, everyone is afraid of something. I'm afraid of flying, Sam is afraid of clowns. It's just natural."

We just started talking about anything and everything, like teen girls at a sleepover. Well, until the loudest break of thunder vibrated through the air. Castiel immediately jumped into my arms and buried his head into the crook of my neck. I wrapped my arms around his torso and ran my fingers through his soft hair. After a few minutes he got up, and I immediately felt the cold air hit my skin.

"I-I-I'm sorry Dean.... that was an inappropriate action on my behalf."

" No, Cas, your fine. I actually quite enjoyed it." Why can't I just explain my feelings like a normal human?

"Really? I thought that was only appropriate when two humans were in a relationship?" I saw what I thought to be a glimmer of hope in his eyes, quickly vanishing to show a fake feeling of curiosity.

~Castiel's POV~

NO! HOW COULD I LET THIS HAPPEN! HE IS GOING TO HATE ME, I JUST KNOW IT. I LOVE HIM, BUT  HE DOESNT LOVE ME BACK.

"Cas, what's wrong?" Dean asks. Clearly I forgot to hide my emotions. Great.

"Nothing, just zoned out." I lied. But I saw something in his forest green eyes... disappointment? No, I must be wrong.

"Can I do something?" He quietly asks.

"S-sure Dean." Great, I scared him away. I was fidgeting with the string of my sweatpants, when I felt something soft brush against my lips. I was surprised at first, but I quickly jumped out of that state and kissed the hunter back.

"I-I'm s-sorry. I'll go to sleep now I guess." He said with tears brimming his eyes.

"WAIT! Dean.. wait"

"Yeah?" He said with a slight expression of hope sliding across his face.

"I love you, please don't go."

"I love you too. I was just scared you didn't share the feeling." He replied.

"Of course I do... you are the most important thing in my life. My heart melts when I look into your beautiful forest green eyes. I can't help but smile when I hear your name. And if that isn't love, then I don't know what is."

~Sam's POV~

The next morning, Dean and Cas weren't out of bed yet, and I was starting to worry, so I  entered to their room. Wow. Dean's bed was empty, so I looked over to Cas' to find them tangled into each other's arms. I smiled, "....finally..." I whispered. I grabbed my phone and took a picture, then ran to Gabe to show him what I found.
