I'm just frozen, I just completely stare at her. My little sister, alive. Is this another dream? Will I wake up soon half dead my stuff stolen, lying on the sandy ground in a puddle of my own blood? No this is real, my sister whom I thought dead for four years is standing in front of me, and she looks strong and is with a big group.

"Lucy?" I ask my voice shaky.

"Yes Cassie it's me Lucy your little sister I'm alive".  She looks so different last time I saw her she was only 12 now she is 16 her blonde hair is now longer, it used to be cut short just above her shoulders now it falls mid way of her back. Her eyes are different to they are the same forest green but they look older, sadder, the innocence I used to see looks like it has almost faded away.

"But how I checked...the earth quake.....I checked your class room it was just a pile of rumble"

"I got out of the class room just before It collapsed I must have fell unconscious after a few weeks I found this group and I've been with them ever since".

It took me a minute to digest all this information. This whole time I've been alone running barely staying alive and Lucy my little sister had been surviving, living with this massive group with plenty of supplies and sleeping bags. I have to say I'm kinda jealous.

The boy Luke untied me I obviously wasn't going anywhere, I mean how could I she's my little sister I can't just leave her.

"I'm going to sleep now we can talk more in the morning I don't want to waste this chance to sleep" Lucy says in her sweet voice that I've missed for so long.

"Ok" I say wanting to ask more questions but knowing that she's right the rest of the group is already asleep.

"Luke can get you a sleeping bag" she says and walks off.

I look over at the guy Luke, this is the first time I've really payed close attention to him, he has dark brown hair tanned skin and brown eyes; he's wearing a tattered grey shirt and black pants. He's kinda cute but I don't really worry about stuff like that these days.

"Ummm here" he said passing me the sleeping bag.

"thanks" I said taking it. I looked around to find some place to sleep. Once I found a place close to their fire, wow fire never thought I'd see it again, anyway once I found a spot close to the fire I put my sleeping on the ground and unrolled it. I slithered into it putting my backpack at the bottom. The sleeping bag was warm and cozy it was the most comfort I've had since the large land days. It's nice but I'm defenseless in this, so I slowly get my knife out of my backpack ( it's a miracle they didn't take it) and rest my hand close to the top of the sleeping bag holding the knife. They can't see it but if someone attacks me it will give me a fighting chance. If it wasn't for Lucy I would take the sleeping bag and run, but I have to stay she's my sister.
