A/N Hey guys!! This is my first fanfiction... enjoy!!
Sophie woke up to eager transmittions pulling her from her groggines.
Sophie! Friend! Visit! Come!
"Silveny?" Sophie whispered to herself. She snapped her fingers and light flooded in through her windows. She quickly brushed out her hair, changed into a simple tunic, slipped on her shoes, and raced out of her bedroom.
"Where are you going?" Sandor asked. She'd forgotten that he was standing outside her door.
"Silveny's outside!" Sophie called over her shoulder as she ran down the stairs.
Sandor didn't protest, but followed her outside where she found a glittery alicorn waiting for her, along with her grey companion, Greyfell.
"What's the matter?" Sophie asked, worried that something might be wrong. Sophie stepped forward to stroke the shimmery horse's nose.
Come! Friend! Visit!
"So everything's okay?" Sophie stepped over to pat Greyfell on the shoulder. Greyfell looked warily at her, still not extremely comfortable around her. Greyfell stomped his hood, impatient to go.
Silveny must've seen that, because she transmitted, Visit. Soon. Friend. Miss.
"I miss you too," Sophie whispered, tears burning in her eyes.
The two sparkling horses launched into the sky and swooped back down, free-falling, and thunder clapped as they teleported away.
"You should go back inside now," Sandor said, reminding her that he was there. "It's not safe for you to be outside at this time in the morning."
Sophie rolled her eyes, but didn't protest as she tiptoed back into the house. She didn't want to wake Grady or Edaline.
Sophie got back up to her bedroom, which took up the whole third floor, without seeing either one of her parents. She had just finished making her bed when she heard a knock on the door. Grady peeked his head inside.
"I thought I heard something. Why are you up so early?"
"Silveny and Greyfell decided to visit. I woke up when Silveny transmitted to me."
"Oh. You're not normally up this early, so I was wondering why you were this morning. Anyway, Edaline has breakfast already set out and ready. She had to make a trip to Slurps and Burps. Her medicine stock is running low."
"Okay, I'll come downstairs." Grady's head disappeared from her doorway. She was just about to follow Grady downstairs when her imparter rang. She went over to see who it was.
When Sophie answered it, Biana's face flashed across the screen. "Hey, Sophie. I was wondering if you could sleep over today. Fitz is having Keefe over, and I already hailed Dex to see if he could come over, but he was busy with extra orders at the shop."
"Okay, I can come. Should I come over after breakfast?"
"Come over as soon as you can. Keefe is alread here. These boys are driving me insane!"
"I just have to tell Grady I'm staying the night, eat breakfast, and pack up my stuff. Then I'll be over!"
"Great! I can't wait!" Biana's face flashed away.
Sophie quickly packed her PJs, her toiletries, and two extra outfits into her overnight bag. Then she decided to pack a few pranking elixirs. She had a feeling she was going to need them.
Sophie tramped downstairs with her overnight bag slung across her shoulders and Sandor trailing her. She ate her breakfast, which looked like a bright blue casserole and tasted like french toast. "Dad, I'm going over to Everglen for a sleepover. Tell Edaline I love her."
"Okay, I will." Grady wrapped Sophie in a hug before she headed up to the Leapmaster with Sandor and shouted, "Everglen!"
