"Look. Jay, we're gonna have to go out and patrol the college tonight with Dallas. You saw Dimitri last night. He was really strong, he won't go down without a fight. What if there's more after us? That girl will probably be pronounced missing soon.." Dexter suggested to Jay as they sat on the benches watching the game of dodge ball before them.

Jay groaned. "Why though? I'm tired.."

"No." Dexter sighed. "Look, I'm the idea man, alright?"

Jay didn't say anything, but silently agreed and carried on watching the game.

"Mckenzie, move out of the way!" Jay shouted, but it was too late. A dodgeball aimed right at her and hit her in her chest.

She grunted and moved back, clutching her stomach. "Why didn't anybody warn me?" Mckenzie complained, standing up and storming over to Jay and Dexter, poking Jay hard in his chest with her index finger.

Mckenzie's frizzy ginger hair was slung up into a high ponytail, and it swayed side by side attractively. Her eyebrows furrowed together as she glared up at Jay angrily, her piercing blue eyes staring right at him.

"Are you deaf?" Dexter rolled his eyes. "Jay warned you perfectly, dumbass."

"Oh, shut up." She groaned, admitting defeat and stood beside them, watching the remaining students still in the game.

"Patricia's pretty good for a girl." Dexter grinned.

"Sexist." Mckenzie glared.

"That's me!" Dexter said, throwing his hands in the air.

"Boys.." She muttered, shaking her head.

"Patricia, out!" The teacher blew her wistle, and Patricia walked over to Dexter, Jay and Mckenzie angry. Her raven black hair fell all the way down her back and stopped at her hips, her skin was pale white and she looked almost gothic, but a pretty gothic. Patricia always wore a lot of makeup, but people barely noticed because it blended in with her skin and personality.

"That is bullshit." She said, grabbing her bottle of water and drinking long gulps.

"Hey, you did good.. for a girl like yourself." Jay said, awkwardly patting her back.

"Not good enough!" She snapped and with her bottle of water still in her hand, she rushed out of the PE hall and into the changing rooms.

"PMSing or what?" Jay rolled his eyes.

"Leave her alone!" Snapped Mckenzie and followed after her.

"Wow." Began Jay, turning to Dexter. "Whoever said girls stick together, was right." Dexter snorted.

Jay had Science with Dallas second period, but he decided not to go and go to the library instead. Besides, his Science teacher, Mr. Matthews, was possibly the most evil person he had ever met. Jay, Dallas and Dexter yet still had to see if he was a vampire. But they doubted it. He looked nothing like one. But he did look at them suspiciously.

There was a woman at the front desk of the library with her nose stuck in her book with her glasses hanging at her nose, and Jay knew that she couldn't be disturbed even if he made a great effort.

He sat down on a table near the back of the library so nobody could spot him and accuse him of ditching class. His neck still hurt slightly, but not as much and he was getting his bandage off of his hand in a few days.

Jay grabbed a random book from the huge bookshelves and began to lazily read. He was barely taking the words in; he was just moving his eyes over them and looking at them to pass time.
