Jay was woke up by the sound of a violent knocking on his dorm room door.

He grumbled something which probably wasn't English, glanced at his room mate's neatly made bed and threw his head back into the comfort of this pillow.

"Jay Caine! Open the door. Right now. Or I swear I'll kick it down."

Jay rolled his eyes and inwardly scoffed. Yeah, right. Amalia kick a door down? When pigs fly.

"I'm not joking!" She shouted as if she hadn't gotten the point across loud enough already.

He'd gotten in his room after being sneaky around the police at about 2 in the morning. Having not known what the police where there for anyway, he'd gone to bed.

Silently cursing Amalia, he threw the covers off of his half naked body and stormed over to the door, unlocking it and slinging it open. "What?" He demanded, slightly huskily.

"What? What?! Have you seen the time? Twenty past freakin' 11." She informed him as if it was the most important thing in the world and walked in after been uninvited inside.

"Yeah, so?" He snapped, closing the door.

"It's Wednesday. You had lessons, remember?"

"I overslept."

"No, duh. Them lessons, Jay-ee-kins, you just so happened to have with me! Do you know how anxious I have been? With all the police squirming all over school and you not being there, I was beginning to imagine something had happened to y-"

Ugh. Putting his hand over her mouth to shut her up, Jay rolled his eyes. "I'm fine. See?" He dropped his hand and gestured to his face. "Not a scratch."

"Except for your swollen neck and grazed knuckles."

"Yeah, except for that." He smiled slightly.

Amalia returned the smile, lifted her hand and traced the forming bruises around his neck, her brows furrowed in concentration and frustration. "Are you okay?"

"Don't worry about me, Ams. Cool as a cucumber."

She nodded, dropped her hand and then realised he was stood with only boxers on. Biting her lip, she concentrated on looking in his eyes. "Walk to History with me, Jay-ee-kins."

"Let me get dressed first."

"Fair play."

Jay gave her a genuine smile and walked over to his drawers, grabbing a clean pair of clothes and made his way over to the bathroom.

Once dressed and ready, he walked back out to find Amalia lied on his bed, fiddling with one of his chains in her hands. Her face lightened up as she saw that he was out and stood up instantly, placing the chain on the bedside cabinet and reaching for his hand. "Come on, baby."

"Excuse me, sir. What's going on?" Jay asked the uniformed man.

They were on dinner break and although Jay wasn't surprised that the police where interviewing like there was no tomorrow, he was still curious.

The man glanced in his direction, his piercing golden brown eyes leaning on his face with a uncertain expression cascaded upon his strong features. "There was a killing last night, son. There's also a girl missing. We're just asking questions, ya'no? Probably gonna do a perimeter check too. Don't you worry though, kid, everything's under control." He had a British accent and sent him a friendly smile as he looked down at the clipboard he was holding, clearly in thought.

"Can I ask who?"

"Christina Usher was killed. Olivia Preach missing. You know them, lad?"

Olivia Preach. That was bound to be the girl Dimitri had destroyed and who Jay, Dimitri and Dallas had buried. He just hadn't expected for her disappearance to be noticed so sudden.
