Venus's POV

"Gamepoint Venus! You can do it!" Coach Turney yelled at me from the side line while I was concentrating on my jump serve. "You got this Venus! Don't screw it up! " my subconscious told me. I tossed the ball high in the air and ran then jumped up and smacked the ball hard over the net. I ran back to the front of the net where I was prepared for when the ball made its way back over. The ball came back to us and backrow picked up the attack easily and passed it to setter. "Me! " I yelled signaling for Timberly to at me up for an attack. "Venus! " she yelled. I got in my attack stance footwork. Putting everything I learned for playing Volleyball for 10 years and then "BAM!" I killed it on our rivals hitting one of them on the face. "Whoooo we won the championship!" My amazing best friend yelled from the bleachers. I smiled at him and he ran down the bleachers and lifted me up screaming at the top of his lungs, "You did it Cater! I'm so proud of you!" "What did I do? " Carter asked. I busted out laughing happy for the first time in a long time. "Congrats! " the boys told me each giving me a hug. Shawn was last, "You did amazing out there. I usually like watching volleyball but you made it worth my while. " he whispered in my ear. "Thanks I couldn't without the supporters including y'all. " He hugged me and I liked the way I felt in his arms for some reason....i felt "safe" something I haven't felt since my big brother.... I noticed we were still hugging when Xaiver cleared his throat. I pulled away and blush creeped it's way up my neck. " "Vee! I want to introduce you to someone! " Coach yelled at me from across the Court. "Duty calls." I told the boys and made my way to coach. "Hey Coach what's up? " I asked. " This is Coach Snider from UCLA. " she smirked at me knowing the UCLA was my dream college. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Snider. " I said politely. "The pleasures mine. You did amazing today and I was wondering if you would like to take those skills and put them on our court? " he ask. "Really!?!" I asked excited. He nodded his head. "I would be honored. " I said trying to compose myself to try and look professional. "We'll we will see you next year Ms. Venus. " he smiled politely at me before dismissing himself and walking away. I made sure he was a good distance away before screaming, " Ahhh I'm going to UCLA! " I tackled coach in a bear hug. "Thanks for believing in me when my parents didn't. " I said to her. "You were a second mom to me. " I told her honestly. "It was my pleasure sweetheart. Congrats on UCLA you're going to be amazing! " she said with tears in her eyes. "OK enough with the tears go celebrate your win with your team. " she said. I started walking away and looked back at her to see her smiling proudly at me. I made my way to the boys where Xavier's back was me so I ran and jumped on his back and whispered, "Guess who's going to UCLA next year?" "Omg! Car congrats! " "What are you talking bout? You should be saying that to Timberly. " I said with a serious face. "What? " he said putting me down and facing me. "I'm sorry Carter... I just thought that you meant you an-... " "I'm just kidding Sucker! I'm going next year! " I yelled doing a victory dance. "Why are you yelling and dancing? " Nash asked. "I don't know... Only because I just got accepted to my dream college UCLA!" I yelled like a mad woman. "Congrats! "
They attacked me in a group hug. "Hey Vee you coming to the Victory party? " Timberly asked. I'm not much of a party type so I politely said, "No thanks I think I'm going to hang with my friends. " I said. "OK Bye! " "Oh so we're friends now? " Cam smirked. "Hey remember I still have my taser. " Cams smirk fell really quick. "You wouldn't do it to your friends. " Johnson teased. "Xaiver tell them I tased you when you drank all my Dr Pepper. " I said. "That was the worst thing you could of ever done to me. " he said with wide eyes as if he was reliving the memory. "You see that's because he's my best friend. What makes you think I won't spill water on you and then taser you causing you to set on fire? " I questioned. The boys looked at me with their eyes practically popping out of their heads. "I think Champions deserve Pizza! Don't ya'll?" I asked. The boys faces lit up at the mention of a pizza.

*At Pizza Palace*

"Mhhhhmmmm! " I moaned as the cheese melted in my mouth. "So what's your name? " Matt asked. Shoot I forgot to tell them my name! "My name is....Drumroll please... " I said while banging my hand on the table. "VENUS!" I said. "And yes like the planet. " "that's a pretty awesome name. " Gilinsky said. "An awesome name for an awesome person." I smirked going back to eating my pizza. The guys chuckled at my remark. The only thing running through my mind was "There's Nothing Better than The Taste Of Victory.... and Pizza!"
