"This tastes so good"Merida tells Rapunzel
"Thanks"Rapunzel smiles
It has been a month since the incident (the investigation was unsuccessful and closed due to Merida not remembering anything) and everything has been going smoothly...until.
"ATTACK IN THE NORTH POLE!"Jack burst in the room
"Gather your weapons!"
They rush to the training room and suit up.
Merida grabs her bows,arrows,and swords.
Rapunzel grabs a frying pan from the kitchen.
Elsa grabs a dagger,in case she gets tired from punching and kicking.
Hiccup grabs his fire sword.
"What are we up against?"They ask as they walk to the stables to get Toothles with Jack leading the way.
He turns back to them and says...
"Nightmares"
"How are you feeling?"Merida asks Hiccup as they rode on Toothless.Rapunzel hung from Toothless with her hair.Jack carried Elsa.
"I feel kind of nervous.I never dealt with this Nightmares thing"He confess
"I'm nervous too,but if you can take on a dragon,you can take on a nightmare"She comforted him
"Thanks"Hiccup smiles
"Faster,bud"
Toothless goes faster,Hiccup suddenly feels something cool on his neck.
He looks down to see a gold medal on his chest.
He looks at Merida.
"It was my great grandfather's"She says
"It will protect and give you courage"
"Thank you"He smiled at her
He wondered why she was suddenly being so nice to him.
She nodded
"We're here!"Jack shouted
"Get ready!"
They see a mass of black in the North Pole.The Guardians were trying to fend them off.
They land (in style) and catch the nightmares attention.The fight begins!
"What took you so long,mate?"Bunny asks
"The North Pole isn't exactly close to our cabin"Jack tells him as he freezes a little girl?
"Wait...these aren't nightmares!"Jack exclaims
"What are they then?"Elsa asks as she punches one shaped like a bear.
"I don't know!"Jack exclaims
"Nightmares can't shape shift.They're always horses!"
"Watch out!"Hiccup says slashing one,behind Merida,in half.
"Thanks"Merida smiles
"Behind you!"
She shoots one that came behind Rapunzel.Rapunzel gave her a thumbs up and continued whacking the unknown creatures.
The creatures increased faster by the minute.
"RETREAT!"North shouts
"What?"Jack asks
"Why?"
"There's too many of them!"Tooth exclaims as she and Bunny are back-to-back while the black creatures circle them.
"GO BACK!"Jack tells his team,they nod.
Jack picked Elsa up and flew high.Rapunzel strapped her hair around Toothless's saddle.Merida and Hiccup jumped on Toothless and they flew.
Rapunzel's emerald eyes widened in fear as she saw the creatures catching up.
"They're catching up!Fly higher!"Rapunzel exclaims
"Rapunzel,do you have any weapons with you?"Merida asks
"No!"She exclaims in panic
Merida grabs her bow and arrows and shoots the creatures that were trying to attack Rapunzel.
"Bring Rapunzel up!"Merida exclaims.
She and Hiccup began pulling Rapunzel up to Toothless by her hair.
Rapunzel soon sat on the saddle.
"Thanks"She told her
Merida nodded,still shooting the creatures,not missing one.As she stated,she never misses.
But,she was suddenly outnumbered.There were a lot of the creatures but she had only five arrows left.
"Go faster!"She exclaims
Toothless goes higher and faster.The creatures are still gaining on them.
Merida shoots her last arrow. Suddenly, it becomes dark. A scream is heard, causing Toothless to fly faster.
"FASTER!"Jack shouts as the team zooms out of the darkness, the black creatures disappeared. It was as if their purpose was to tire them out. The fight was for no exact reason.
The team landed on the snowy ground in front of their cabin with a thud.
"Woop!"Rapunzel cheered
"That was awesome!"
They laughed, Elsa looked around to see Jack, Hiccup, Rapunzel all safe. She was rea-wait...
"Where's Merida?"Hiccup asks them. The team starts to panic as they look around for her.
"Merida!"They call out her name.
Rapunzel's eyes widened as she fell to the ground on her knees, Elsa rushed to her and crouched down to her level.
"What's wrong?"
"Th-th-there was a-a-a scream when it was dark. I-it sounded like Merida's"Rapunzel sobbed. Elsa hung her head, shedding a tear. They hugged as the boys joined, hearing what Rapunzel said.
"Sh-she-she's g-g-gone"
"Don't worry,"Hiccup reassured her
"We'll find Merida and we'll make sure that those creatures who hurt her will pay"
"WHAT?!"North's voice boomed
"What do you mean she's gone?"
"She disappeared when we flew away from the fight"Jack explained
North's face softened when he all saw their sad faces.
"We tried to look for her but we couldn't find her!"Jack said
"She's probably dead"
"Very well"North sighed
"Jack, get the candles."
"Why?"
"We must celebrate her death and honor her like we would for a Guardian"
"But,she's a mortal"Jack says
"She isn't a guardian"
"All the more"
