*Missy's pov*
I was sitting in the kitchen of the house waiting for Brayson and Alexis to wake up from their sleep cause they usually do at this time. It has been so long after all of the events that scared me happened. Let me catch you up on what is going on in the life of Missy Jane. I still can't get over how while it sounds.
Patrick and I have been married for five years now. We both still work for Lisbon at the CBI, and still are both mentalist. I would like to say that crime went down after the Red Stars were put away, but sadly they did not. It's a good thing too, cause we both have to pay the bills some how!
Over the years we had two wonderful children: Brayson Lee and Alexis Marie. Little Brayson was three years old, and sweet Alexis was one. Both of the little people have Patrick's hair color and my nose. They also have his eye brows and my ears and eye shape, but that is where the similarities end. Brayson has my skin tone with Jane's eye color. His lips are more like his, and I think he is a little cutie. Alexis, on the other hand, has Jane's skin tone and my eye color. Her lips are mine, and she is just so sweet. I hoped they wouldn't grow up with the personality like their father. We had one too many of them.
It was a good thing Patrick bought this house. We had three extra rooms when it was just the two of us, and now we have one. Well, it will be one when I move Alexis out of our room and into her own. She only just turned one, and I wanted her to be at least two before she slept on her own. I wasn't one of those paranoid moms, it just work out that way with Brayson. Also I kind of liked having a kid in the room at night, even if I had one down the hall who woke up almost every time she did.
Has for everything else, well I was pretty happy with my life. I had a wonderful husband, two loving children, my dream job. Sure I still might hate watching people die, tight spaces, mice touching me (but I have been working on that, I can now stand the things to be out of the cages!), needles, and all of those other things, but hey. Those things just make me, well me.
The door opened and Patrick walked in with bags in his hands. He had been away to go grocery shopping. His blond hair still had that curl to it, and his blue eyes still made me melt every time they looked at me. Every day just felt like I could learn to love him all over again.
"I'm home," he told me with a smile placing the bags on the counter. "Did you miss me?"
"I always miss you when you are away," I answered kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Have the kids woken up yet?"
"No. It is just you and me."
"I like the sound of that."
"So do I."
We walked over to where I was sitting and placed his arms around my neck. He hugged me like this until we heard a little voice call "Mommy?"
"Brayson's up," Patrick said letting go of my neck. I got up and went to see my little boy. I cheeked up on my angle why I was at it. She was sitting up in the bed and giggled when I looked in. I picked her up and went to see what Brayson needed.
"Hi kiddo," I told him putting Alexis beside him.
"Hi Mommy," he said back.
"What do you need?"
"I had a bad dream."
"Want to tell Mommy what it was, or do you want to tell Daddy?"
"Mommy and Daddy," he answered picking the option I didn't give him. Another Jane, I thought.
"Oh Daddy, a little boy wishes to tell you something!" I called to him. I heard his footsteps on the stairs and he poked his head into the door.
"Has the all powerful Mommy summoned me?" he asked making all three of us laugh. He walked in and sat on Brayson's bed. "Yes?"
"I had a bad dream Daddy," the little boy told him. Patrick took him in one arm and Alexis in the other.
"What was it about?" he asked hugging both the children.
"A monster come and it was big and red and scary. It took Mommy and I was scared about it would do to her."
I looked at my son and felt sad. It wasn't a dream, it had really happened. A monster took me, and it was big, red, and scary. Everyone was scared what it would do to me, and so was I.
"Hey, that was only a dream." Patrick told him with a smile. "Mommy is right there, and if a monster ever did take her, I would find her and get her back."
"Why?" Brayson asked him.
"Well that is because she is mine. I don't like it when people take her away, cause that means that they can do things to her that I don't like."
"But isn't it nice to share?"
"It's nice to share your toys. If you have someone like Mommy, then you get to keep her all to yourself. You don't have to share them. Mommy doesn't share me with anyone, and I don't share Mommy with anyone. Now go back to sleep. Brayson. I have to take you to day care in the morning. Alright?"
"Yes Daddy. Good night."
"You are going to bed too!" he told Alexis who giggled when he picked her up and took her to the other room. I pushed the blanket up on Brayson and kissed his pale cheek. He looked up at me.
"Is Daddy your knight Mommy?" he asked me. I looked at him confused.
"My knight?" I asked back. "What makes you say that?"
"Daddy always calls you a queen."
"Yes, in a way he is my knight. Now go to bed. Good night. I love you."
"Good night. I love you."
I closed the door and looked down the hall. My knight. Was Patrick my knight? I think he was. I was shacking from my thoughts when someone grabbed me and placed there hand over my mouth. I couldn't get out of the hold and I tried to see who it was. What did they want? What did they do to Patrick? I couldn't see them, and the person brought their lips to my ear.
"Did I scare you?" the person asked, and they took their hand off my lips and turned me around to see their blue eyes and grin.
"Patrick!" I cried and hit him in the chest. "Don't you ever scare me like that again! I thought you were going to hurt me, or worse my family!"
"I'm sorry Missy," he told me and made it up with a kiss. "I promise I won't do it again. Not for to my baby."
"Thank you. Now we have groceries to put away, then we have to go to sleep."
"Fine Mommy!"
I laughed has he went down the stairs. Like I said, he was the most annoying person on the face of the Earth, but he was mine. I wouldn't trade him for the world, and trust me, people have giving me plenty of chances to live him. I wasn't going to let them get in the way of him and me. Someone tried to do that, and he was never heard of again. No we didn't kill me! He was in jail. Patrick maybe the biggest pest, the child that one one wants, the person who everyone hates, a mentalist that people distrust, but hey, those are just names. I know three people who will always need Patrick Jane around.
And it just so happens their last name is Jane too.
It's over! Noooo... Sadness. Why, why, why?
Sparkles: You have another book to do!
Oh yeah I forgot. I will post it later today, and I hope you all liked this one, and enjoy the next one almost has much. I am doing a trilogy, maybe the R Trilogy since they all start with r. I won't tell you the last books name, just let it be known that it has to do with the kids instead of Patrick and Missy. So go enjoy RM, and maybe look at NB?
Sparkles: Peace out my Stars!
