The Lodge

Chapter 2

Sean's POV

Skye led me down a path for a little while and we ended up at a a lake. But the lake didn't look like any lake I've seen before. It had a nice sandy shore with beautiful blue water crashing on it. The water sparkled as the stars above shone down on it. But the most marvelous part was Skye as she stand there looking out at the water with a sparkle in her eye and such a radiant smile. She could light up any room she walked into. Ah man I just wish she was mine and I could hold her and tell her how much i love her. Oh my gosh did i just say that I love Skye?! I did! I can't deny it because it's true I do love Skye. After what seemed like an eternity i realized she was looking and talking to me.

"Earth to Sean! Hello! Anyone there?!" She said in a playful voice.

"Oh yea sorry, just admiring the beautiful view!" Nice save Sean I thought to myself.

"Isn't it? This is my favorite place other than the tree of course. Would you like to sit?" She asked.

"Yes I would!" I said.

She pulled off her back pack, grabbed a blanket and laid it down on the ground. Then she sat down and patted the spot next to her. I laid down and she laid down also. A breeze blew by and I saw here shiver.

"Maybe we should scoot close together to conserve heat" I suggest.

"Yes I think we should!" She agreed. Skye scooted over to me and placed her head on my chest as I wrapped one arm around her.

"There! Now I'm all toasty!" Skye joked.

"Good!" I say as a smile crept across my face. As we lay there looking at the stars I asked "so Skye why did you show me such a special place?"

She answered with "because you're a special person to me Sean that's why!"

"Oh I am now!" I replied

"Of course I mean you've been there for me since the day I arrived at the lodge. And I've been thinking about you ever since things went downhill with Ben and Danielle." She said.

"If you don't mind me asking, what kind of things?" I questioned.

"Well that whole thing with Ben made me realize that I stopped having feelings for him. Especially after, you know, the kiss... The point is I like you Sean and I choose you." She said lifting her head to look at me. "I just hope that you chose me too"
