The Lodge

Chapter 10

Sean's POV

I know I've been distant lately but Skye hasn't answered my calls for 3 days and it's starting to worry me. I haven't even seen her during work and we usually have the same shifts. Uggghhh! I just need to find her and tell her what's been going on! I decide to go over to the lodge and find her. But it's midnight. I doubt she's even up. I think as I turn back. No this can't wait till tomorrow! I have to go now! I turn back around and head towards the lodge. I look up at her window from the outside. Her curtains are closed but I can see she still has her light on. I grab a handful of small pebbles and start to lightly toss them at her window to get her attention. Finally she opens her window and pops her beautiful head out.

"What do you want Sean?!" She says. I can hear the sadness in her voice. She must've been crying, it breaks my heart.

"Skye I just want to talk. I haven't been truthful with you and I want to explain. Could you please come down and go for a walk with me?" I ask.

"Why should I? You haven't answered any of my calls or anything. It's like you were avoiding me! And it really hurt Sean!" She said.

"I know it did but I need to tell you why I was avoiding you!" I said hoping to convince her.

"Fine I'll be down in a minute." She hesitated. Yes! Now I just need to explain and then this will go back to how they were! I sit on the bench and wait for her to come down. After a minute I hear her come walking up so I stand up and we begin walking.

"Are you cheating on my Sean?!" She asked in an angered voice.

"Skye where did you get that idea?! Why would i ever cheat on you if I've been trying so hard to get you?" I asked. I can't believe she thinks I cheated on her! I thought.

"Well Danielle told me that she knows you so well and that when you acted like this you were usually hiding something that you didn't want anyone to know!" She said tearing up.

"Hey, hey, don't cry!" I said pulling her into a hug. "First, why would you believe Danielle? She's been so mean to you! And second, I would never cheat on you Skye! I care about you so much I can't even explain! The reason I wasn't answering your calls was because my dad grounded me because I didn't convince you to sell the lodge. He kept bugging me about it so I finally told him that I'm not going to force you to do anything because i know you care so much about the lodge! So after that he was so mad he took my phone away and didn't let me leave the house for the last couple days. I kept trying to call you on our house phone but my parents caught me. So tonight I made it look like I was sleeping and snuck out so I could explain. I'm so sorry that I hurt you Skye! It breaks me heart to see you like this. It really does!" I said.

After awhile she looked up and began to say, "I forgive you Sean! I'm sorry about accusing you of cheating on me and for listening to Danielle! I just hope you could forgive me!"

It hurt me too much to see her like this! "Of course I forgive you Skye!" I said as i leaned down to give her a passionate kiss.

After the kiss she said, "I'm just glad we got this all worked out! Oh no! It's 2am! If my dad realizes I'm away he's gonna be so mad!!!"

"Oh lord I don't need him mad at me for breaking your curfew! Let's get you back!" I said grabbing her hand and running back to the lodge! We arrived and I walked her to the door but didn't dare go in, in case her dad was standing there. I kissed her goodnight and began to walk away. "I'll see you in the morning beautiful! Goodnight!" I said winking at her.

"Goodnight my handsome boyfriend!" She said as she walked into the lodge and disappeared.

Skye's POV

I was so happy I begin to skip up the stairs. I had a smile plastered across my face as I opened my bedroom door just to see my dad siting in my desk chair. "Ok I know it's past my curfew but Sean and I had to work something out but now we're all good! Everything is perfect!" I said trying to talk fast.

"Look Skye I can't have you keep disappearing in the middle of the night. It worries me! I'm glad everything is good between you and Sean but you're still grounded for a week!" He said. "You'll go to work and be able to talk to Sean for 2 hours each night but after that you'll go straight to bed okay?"

"I deserve it! I'm sorry dad! I won't sneak out again! I love you!" I said not caring that I just got grounded.

"Well that was the opposite reaction I thought I was gonna get! I love you too now go to sleep and I'll see you in the morning!" He said as he walked out of my room and closed the door behind him.

Oh I'm so happy! Sean's not cheating on me, we worked things out, and my dads not even really mad at me! I thought. After laying in bed thinking of seeing Sean tomorrow I finally drifted off to sleep.
