Morning arose
It was one of the cold mornings of Shimla.
Randhir covered Sanyukta with the blanket.
She was sleeping resting her head near his heart.
Randhir pushed some hair strands away from her face to have a clear galance of her.
"I want my every morning to be like this Sanyukta" He mumbled
"How beautifully things between us have changed Sanyukta..." "It was unexpected but...it is beautiful" "From strangers to friends...and now..." He smiled on his thoughts
"I have seen you since childhood" "You were 4 years old when you and your family came here and started living in our out house" "you looked cute in those two pony tails...that specks..." "I still remember you wanted a ride on my bicycle...but cycle chalana nahi aata tha tumhe..."
"Your rose plant...I remember the day when I plucked a rose out of your rose plant...and you literally cried whole day"
"Studious girl...always use to stay awake till late night"
"I used to see you every morning..."
"When you used to come to here to meet Dad & Dadi..."
"There was always something that kept me hooked..."
"Something that attracted..."
"Something that is beautiful...beyond words to describe..."
"What is it? "What is it Sanyukta..." He questioned himself
Sanyukta stirred in sleep
Randhir smiled looking at her angelic face
"Dad forced me to marry you..." "That time...I cursed him..." "But now this is best thing happened in my life" "Thanks so much Dad...Thank you" He carefully rested Sanyukta head on pillow covering her with blanket properly
He caressed her hair a bit and some black thing appeared near her neck
He hesitatedly touched her neck.
He moved her hair covering her neck.
His face welcomed a bright smile
She was wearing mangalsutra
"I never noticed...she wears mangalsutra..." He thought
"I never knew...that this relationship...is important for you Sanyukta" "You respect this relationship..." He mumbled
He placed a warm kiss on her forehead making sure he doesn't disturb her sleep
He got down of bed.
He turned back again to have a glance of her.
She was sleeping peacefully
Randhir took a shower and freshen up
Sanyukta was still sleeping.
Randhir wondered.
She never sleeps too late.
"Should I wake her up" He thought
"No...let her sleep" He smiled
He got down
He looked fresh today
Dadi and Harsh were already on table having breakfast
"Good Morning Dadi...Dad..." Randhir joined them
"Very good Morning...you look well today" Harsh said
"Yes...feeling much better" Randhir said
"Where is Sanyukta?" Dadi asked
"She is still sleeping" Randhir replied
"Ohh...today will be tough day for her" Dadi said
"Means?" Randhir asked
"Randhir today is Sanyukta's mother - Anju's death anniversary" "She will be low today" Dadi said
*flashback*
18 years ago
Agrawal family was new in Shimla
Harsh appointed Kishore as his driver while Anju was appointed as care taker for Randhir by Renuka
The couple was very honest and dedicated to their work.
Randhir was 8 years old
Anju was waiting outside his school to pick him up from there carrying little Sanyukta in her arms
She put down Sanyukta on floor holding her hand tightly
The school hours got over
Randhir came out of the school
"Aunty...I am hungry" Randhir said
"Beta lets go home...then have lunch" Anju said holding his hand with her other free hand
She was trying to to cross the road holding SanDhir hands tightly
There was much traffic on road.
Anju waited for sometime there.
She can't take risk of crossing the road
She wasn't aware of a car coming from wrong side
The same side where Randhir was...
Even Randhir had little idea about it.
Anju sensed the approaching car.
It was about to hit Randhir but Anju pushed Randhir and the car hit her.
Anju fell down on ground.
She died on spot due to brain hemorrhage.
Sanyukta saw her mother dieing in front of her eyes.
It took so many days for her to recover from the truama.
*flashback ends*
"Sanyukta..." He rushed to the room
"Maa...did you see the change in Randhir?" Harsh said
"Yes Harsh...I can see...my Randhir is changed" "Because of Sanyukta..." Dadi said
Randhir was about to enter the room but something stopped him
"Sanyukta..." He opened the door
He found her siting in the corner of room hiding her face in between her knees
"Sanyukta..." He went to her and sat in front of her
"Sanyukta..." He kept his hand on her head
She looked up
Her eyes were red and teary
"Maa.." She spoke
"Maa..." She cried bitterly
Randhir hugged her immediately
He was in tears by now
She cried
He kissed her hair and consoled her
"I have lost my mother... my father is not with me" She mumbled
"I am there okay" "I am there...with you promise" He said
She hugged him tighter.
He gave her relief which she needed at the moment
Sanyukta is emotionally strong but sometimes even such people falls weak.
Randhir is confused between his mind and heart but when it comes to commitment...he is absolutely sure about it.
They are inter-related.
They are inter-dependent.
Their lives are entangled.
They are tied in knot...a strong,unbreakable and beautiful knot of love.
