Chapter 4

Tristan's POV
When I woke up the next morning, I met up with my best friend, Marco to go to school.

When I arrived at school," Hey bro, what's up? I've seen you with this chick. I guess somebody has a crush." Marco said." Shush, dude!" I nudged him. That's when I saw Melissa came by.

I said," Hey, dude I gotta run. I'll catch up with you later."" I told you're love struck bro." Screamed Marco. I sometimes question why I'm friends with him.
Melissa's POV
When I came in the school early in the morning, I heard someone calling my name. When I turned back I saw Sophie calling me.

She came up to me and said," Hey Mel, can we meet up after school?"" Sure." I replied. And walked away. As I was walking to my locker, a  familiar deep husky voice called my name. I groaned.

Who was it now? I turned around to see those familiar brown hazel eyes. Tristan was standing right in front of me." In case you forgot I'm not giving up." He whispered and followed me to class. I asked him, " Why are you following me?" He looked up me and said," Cause my mom told me to follow my dreams."

I blushed and got frustrated and huffed, while he said,"Are you a camera? Because every time I look at you, I smile. ♡ Is your name Ariel? Cause we Mermaid for each other!"

" What are you..." I asked but got interrupted by him," I should call you Google, because you have everything I'm looking for." He said, then he left. I was too stunned to walk to class. Did he just use pick up lines on me. I muttered to myself.

When school was over, I met up with Sophie and we went to the mall." Mel? I feel like your hiding something from me. Why won't you tell me?" Sophie said while we were shopping for clothes.

I was shocked when she asked me this question. I started crying. I couldn't help it. I really do love my best friend, it's just that I really don't know what to do or how to tell her. While I was having tearful eyes, she came over and hugged me and said," We've been friends since freshman year just tell me, I can help you."" It's just that..that.. I can't tell you I'm sorry I'm a horrible friend I'm pathetic." With that I ran back home with tearful eyes.

Tears were streaming down my eyes. I can't do anything right, I'm a failure. I can't tell her she would hate me. As I was about to leave, Sophie called me," Stop! Don't leave! Stop turning back on me I just want to help. I'll do anything. Please just tell me. You are my best friend I would never do anything to hurt you."

The only thing I could say to her were two words," Verbal bullying" with that being said, I left and went back home and did my homework. And cried myself to sleep thinking about why my life was so bad.
Sophie's POV
Verbal abuse. Two words I've been thinking for a long time. When she told me those two words I was left dumbfounded. Who was bullying her? Who would bully her? She had a perfect life. Well, at least that's what I thought. I'm not gonna give up.
Melissa's POV
When I woke up this morning, a red convertible car was outside my house. I walked out of the house and to school. That car started to follow me and I was starting to get creeped out. When finally that car rolled down the windows. It was Tristan.

I sighed with relief. I thought he was some creepy man. " Hey! You coming. I have different colours for cars if that's what your asking." I simply stated a simple" no" That's when he did the impossible. He came out of his car and grabbed me and pushed me into his car and drove me to school. We sat in silence.

When we arrived at school, he said that he would pick me up after school. When school ended I sighed with relief that I didn't see Sophie today. I really didn't want to face her today. I didn't know how to. As I was walking out of the school, I accidentally bumped into Claire.

When she saw me, she purposely shoved my books down on to the floor." Oh! Look what the cat dragged in." She laughed with her other friends."Oh honey you really shouldn't be here. You are nothing but a loser. No wonder Brandon dumped you. I keep telling how he should of dumped you ages ago. I mean look at you, your like even worse than a pig in the barn." I walked away silently.

Her words were like knives stabbed in my heart. It hurt so badly. I cried as I walked out. Before I could get away far, someone pulled me towards them." You know you really shouldn't keep walking alone on the streets." " Tristan, I .. I.. What are you doing  here?" I said still having tears in my eyes.

" Did you forget I said I was going to go pick you up?" I was speechless." Now, explain why are you crying? I told you that you're going to tell me one day so why no now?" He said while wiping away my tears.

I took a deep breath and said the same words I told Sophie." Verbal abuse" and with that he took my hand and drove me home. When I got out of the car, I was immediately pulled into a hug." You don't hide from me. I mean well. Let me see beneath your beautiful." And with that he drove off leaving me outside of my house dumbfounded.

I went in my house lied down on my bed and thought to myself. He did it. He broke down one of my walls. But I have to be cautious what if he backstabs me. But, I don't know what's wrong with me everytime I talk to him, I get butterflies in my stomach. Could it be? Do I really like him? And with those thoughts I fell asleep and going into my own dreamland with a smile on my face.
