Chapter 5

Your POV:

We waited anxiously for this results.

The ballot was counted.

I turn to the kid next to me.

"Mom?" He asks Mrs. Potts.

Wait- what!?

I eye Mrs. Potts.

"Mrs. De Vil, this is my son Chip."

I nod, understanding.

"The ballots have been counted and the winners are Mrs. De Vil's team! Or, better known as... THE RED TEAM!" The announcer, that I didn't even know we had, said loudly into his microphone.

I hug Mrs. Potts.

"A great leader you are." Mrs. Potts says.

"A great leader, indeed." Carlos comes up behind me.

"Mrs. Potts, this is my husband, Carlos."

"Good to meet you, young man."

"You, too. So, this was an interesting surprise one both ends, now wasn't it?"

Mrs. Potts leaves.

"It was."

"So, you were captain, eh?"

"Yeah. I was."

"Well your food was amazing."

"What were you and the guys talking about? When you turned your heads?"

"Um... That much is a surprise."

"Can I get a hint?"

"Sure. Dress nicely tonight."

"Are you saying I don't dress nice?" I tease.

"No! I mean- gah!"

"I knew what you meant."

I hug him.

"So, what do we do now?"

"Lemme grab my stuff. I'm out for the rest of the day."

"So are we."

I turn around and see Jane, Mal, Evie, and Audrey.

I turn to see Carlos.

He winks at me.

I grab my stuff and kiss Carlos before heading off into whatever girly trap Carlos set up.

We get into a carriage and head out.

"Where are we heading?"

"You'll love it." Jane said.

"What are tonight's plans?"

"We don't know. The guys just said to go have a girl's day and meet us back here at 5." Audrey shrugged.

"Okay, then let's catch up."

"You go first."

"I'm a culinary chef who's doing this year's Annual Baking Live Competition in King Ben's castle."

"Wow! Sounds like fun!"

"What about you, Evie?"

"My baby said his first words the other day and I am head seamstress in the castle." She shrugs.

"Wow. How cute."

I look at Jane.

"I'm a librarian and..." She holds up her hand where a ring is placed.
