A/N: Slightly depressed. My best friend moved away and everything reminds me of him.

Carlos's POV:

Us guys, being the gentleman we are, lead the girls to the picnic area.

Audrey and Jay go first. Then Evie and Doug, who are seriously cute. Then it's me and (f/n). And finally, it's Jane and Alex.

The most unlikeliest couples. I think quietly.

We alls sit down and start chatting.

(f/n) pulls something from her pocket.

A letter?

We stop talking and look at her.

"The competition got moved up. I leave first thing tomorrow." She says in barely a whisper.

"That's great news!"

"I won't be able to have contact with anyone until the actual competition begins in three days."

"How ever will we live?" Audrey says sarcastically.

(f/n) rolls her eyes.

"I don't know. But I just figured that you guys would want to know."

She leans into my side.

"Anyways, let's dig in!" Jay says rubbing his hands together.

We all laugh as he starts to serve himself and Audrey.

He pulls out Apple Cider and pops the cap with a loud gun shot like sound.

It startles (f/n) greatly, because she doesn't like the sound nor did she expect the sound.

(f/n) put her letter away and started eating quietly while everyone else engaged in small talk and laughter.

I smile as (f/n) dozes off on my shoulder.

"Hey, guys, I am gonna head off. (f/n) has to be up early tomorrow and I am kinds of tired myself."

They nod and say their goodbyes.

I hug them and pick up (f/n) and walk back to her room.

Unlocking the door, I trudge in and close the door.

I bump into the light with my elbow and it comes on, blinding me.

(f/n) moves a bit in her sleep and casually opens her eyes.

"Did I wake you, my love?"

"No. I was awake the whole time."

"Yeah, sure."

"I was. I just wanted to be alone with you and since I know you, you would carry me back here and we could spend my last few hours together before I have to go to the competition."

"Awe! I love you."

"I love you, too."

"So, what do you want to do?" I ask

"Date night! Like we used to do before you went to Tourney games all over the region."

"Let's do it!"

"Yes!"

She rushes out of my arms.

I immediately miss her touch.
