A/N: Hey, guys, I'm back. Picture above is me for my highschool dance I had on 12/3/16 (last night).

Carlos's POV

--Earlier that day--

Jay, Audrey, Jane, and Alex came over to my house and we got ready for the live showing of (f/n)'s baking competition. They had Ben and Mal at the competition, but they're not judging.

I honestly don't know how it works.

///

I watched (f/n) intently as she cooked. She has this crease in her for head as she cooked. I silently pray. I mean, she's an amazing chef, but I really want her to succeed.

At the same time, I want her to fail.

Not because I don't love her, but because the award for winning is head chef in the castle. That means I won't see her as often or at all and I don't want that. I want her to follow her dreams though.

It's complicated.

I look at Jay, who notices my distraught look.

He nods to the door and I nod.

We get up and walk out the door to talk.

"What's wrong man?" He asks, playfully punching me in the shoulder.

"It's (f/n) and the competition."

"What about it?"

"Is it bad I want her to fail?"

"Uh, yeah. Why do you want her to fail, bro?"

"The prize if she wins."

"What's the prize?"

"Head Chef in the Castle."

"Okay. So?"

"If she win, she becomes the head chef. That means I won't see her as much."

"You don't know that, dude."

"You're right, I don't know that. But I still don't want to lose her."

"I understand how you feel, dude. I couldn't bare to lose Audrey."

"But this is different. I would die if I lost her. I would do anything to get her back."

"Anyways, let's go see how she's doing."

I nod and we head back inside.

I sit down and look at the TV just in time to see Tiana giving her intake on (f/n)'s dish.

"Tiana? Your thoughts?" The announcer asks.

"These tarts are amazing. The sweet yet sour flavor that contrasts with each other with the crust here. It is perfectly cooked and prepared and the dish is just hands down, wow."

"Lumiere?"

"This is, like Tiana said, amazing. Tarts are a difficult dish to prepare when you're under pressure and the fact that you didn't fret about the time made your dish better."

She thanks him and it goes to Prince Naveen.

"You, my dear, are an amazing chef. I am sure you're going to go far beyond this competition."

"Thank you."

She walks to the front counter by the contestants and stands there, awaiting the other contestants to have their turn.
