Chapter 33:
Laura's pov ~
Roxanne got to come home with us a few days after the delivery. Ross came in holding Roxanne in her baby carriage. Ross looked at Roxanne and smiled, and Roxy was asleep.
Ross led me to Roxanne's room which he painted while I was still in the hospital.
The room was painted perfectly baby pink, she had a white crib. She had a small pink diaper bag filled with Roxanne's necessities. Roxy had a rocking chair. She had a few toys, and on the door was her name.
I smiled at Ross, "it's beautiful." I said. He gave me a broad smile back. "You like it?" He asked. I nodded. "It's perfect I love it." I said. Ross leaned down and brushed his lips against mine. Roxanne didn't seem to mind.
Ross pulled away to pick up Roxanne. He put her in between us. "We're a real family now." He said. I smiled at Roxanne, then i noticed a..gross smell. Looks like Roxanne made a little package." I said.
Ross handed me a diaper and left the room. I guess he isn't ready to change her yet. I took a look at her, she looks like both of us. She has my hair, but she has Ross's eyes.
I changed her and put her into her crib.
"The next one better be a boy," Ross laughed. I smiled nodded. Ross's smile faded. "I..I wonder what happened to Ratliff." Ross said quietly. I looked at Ross and he looked at me.
"He wanted Rydel to get rid of the babies." I said looking away. Ross shook his head. "But she didn't," I said.
"Well that's good." Ross said. He picked up Roxanne's diaper. "We still have to tell our promises to Roxanne at the court."
-at the court-
The judge sits next to Roxanne. "Ross lynch, you may go first." The judge said.
Ross took out his paper and began to read, "to Roxanne Rockell Lynch, I promise to protect my daughter from the outside. To devote my life to teaching her right from wrong. I promise to fight for this child for as long as I will live. I promise to keep my daughter safe and to guide her for the rest of her life. I promise to love her until the day I die. These are my promises to her." Ross said.
The judge nodded at me. And I began reading,
"To my daughter Roxanne Rockell Lynch, I promise to take care of her. I promise to always keep her by my side, and teaching her what's right. I promise to kiss her goodnight every night, and to be there to be the loving mother I should be. I promise to love her with all my heart, for as long as I shall live. These are my promises to Roxanne." I finish.
The judge has us sign for Roxanne and go home. To our perfect family.
