White lace flooded over my knees, slipping over the bundles of tule that cascaded freely."He was convinced he was Peter Pan," laughter echoed off the fabricated tent walls, "always carrying a fairy doll around, and what did he want to be when he grew up?"
"Young"
"He might not be a Disney character anymore, but he's sure found his Wendy."
A chorus of affectionate 'aw's' matched the previous giggles. My cheeky grin morphed into a gentle smile, my eyes shifting a glance at Greg's embarrassed expression.
Kiethie strolled down the steps and back to the wedding party's bench.
"Elsa Rose made it," Greg gestured towards my old friend from high school, "oh and that Green Girl." (Shout outs to those who stated they wanted an invite)
"Didn't you see them at the engagement party?"
"Oh what? From five years ago?" He leered with thick sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes and pulled softly at his hand, it's dance time!"
It felt like everyone I ever met was there, downing plates of cheap finger food or swaying crazily to the unique tunes. It was magical. It must be disney after all.
The night flew swiftly, and it was finally time. Time for the story to end.
And a new chapter, begun.
