Katie's POV

Ow, stop pulling so hard, I wanted to say this all but I was too nice.

"And... Just wait a second. Done!" Donna cried, once again, ripping at my head.

I glanced around the room, furrowing my eyebrows at the spot where Charlottes navy, wooden mirror usually sat. Well... Okay?

"Ugh, Charlie?" I called, suspiciously, "did you break your mirror or something?"

"Nope," stated Charlie, casually. I waited a second, no explanation came.

"Where'd it go then?"

"You won't need it, it's better not to know what you look like."

I nodded slowly, trying to make sense of her words. Weird.

Mr and Mrs Lamonsoff were to drive us all to the Feders. house. As us three girls made our way down stairs, Sally's eyes looked me up and down.

I felt small under her gaze, and my arms immediately crossed over my chest. If only I had seen my reflection.

"Ready to go?" Sally asked us, we nodded enthusiastically.

Bean cuddled my leg, then crouched down to trace my heels with his little fingers. He smiled up at me, his big blue eyes so low down. Hmm, I felt taller.

The air outside was warm, it was getting darker. Checking my phone, I saw literally 60 missed calls. From one person. Greg.

We got out of the car and made our way through the backyard, no one was really there yet but we still entered. I walked off towards the house, I could see Mrs Feder at the balcony above.

Keithie and Becky were sitting before the stairs.

"So, playing football anytime soon?" I smirked at Keithie, he grinned and patted his cast.

"Nup, not with dad anyway," he said, standing up with his crutches.

I smiled at Becky and wandered up the stairs, Lenny was making his way down.

Roxane was leaning on the glass of the balcony with one of her hands pressed against her forehead.

"Rox?" I questioned gently, she sniffled and turned around wiping her eyes.

"Don't you look stunning?" I could hear that she had been crying.

"Tell me," she tried to look curious but I didn't buy it, "just tell me what's wrong."

"Lenny doesn't want another child, but... But, I'm pregnant."

"That's fantastic!"

She broke down in tears again, I instantly wrapped my arms around her.

"Hey, it's alright he'll come around," she nodded and clambered down the stairs, wiping her eyes with a tissue.

More people were there, dad was with the huge beast that he called his girlfriend and Braden was swinging around Bean and Becky. Didn't I have an interesting family.
