Chapter Twenty Four

-Alucard's POV-

Ghost had fallen asleep.She was very light when I carried her in here.She's losing her ability to even stand.

She hasn't been here since six years ago,in my lap.Asleep,in this very room.

It was right after her sixteenth birthday

"Alucard?"Asked a small,delicate voice.One who's been peeking my interest.

I open my eyes.Ghost's fear filled eyes looking to my own.I looked into her soul.

A nightmare.

She swallows thinking I was still asleep."With that swallow regret fills your mind.Tell me what you regret?"I had asked her.

She looks down.

"I'm worried your gonna get hurt,an I'm scared that,I'm regretting knowing what's gonna happen to you-"Her eyes lined with tears.

I stood and hugged the shaking girl."An that's why,your the soldier we were given."I reply.

I had no true reason to fall for her but I felt anxious to find out what she felt about me.

-Present-

I held the woman Iv'e come to love,her name is Ghost.

Veins popping out of her skin.All so visible.

"Get some rest."

-Ghost-

I open my eyes and see Red.I was still in Alucard's arms."You have to come home,promise me."I say hoping he can hear me.

I escape his grip and stand up.An I turn to leave."I will."He had replied.He stood and held me to him."I promise."

That's what we did honest truths,obvious lies.He held onto me,like I would die if he let go.

"Come with me."He said.

I look to his red eyes."Really?"I ask.

He nods.

In my heart I felt something I never have before.I would be his sheky.

I was the snake hidden in Alucard's hair.Integra thinks I'm being forced to stay here and rest.Sadly she'll scowled me later.

He starts the 1980 air craft,an I slither into the co-pilot seat.I guess I forgot to mention,I can take forms of spirits I possess as a disguise.

Once I return to two legs I breathe out."I forgot I hate snakes."I mutter.

"You choose that disguise need I remind you."Joked Alucard.

I roll my eyes to him.As we took off I tried closing my eyes to get some rest.

"Alucard?"I ask the Vlad.

"Yes Love?"He had asked.

"After this war,could we settle down on the missions?"I ask.

He stiffens."Why Love?"He replies almost sad.

"I was thinking,we could have a family of our own."I reply.

He chuckles."That makes two of us."I smile.He's become more human to me than anyone else in the organization.He's going to be a great father.A great one indeed.

'Blood Will Fall.'

"What lies on this ship Ghost?Anything worth our salt?"Alucard then asked already smirking.We must be close.
