Zephyra's POV

Hi! My name is Zephyra Kane Levesque. Just so you know, my last name is pronounced as "LEVESK". And yes, I'm a girl. I have a bestfriend named Darren Lyndon Espanto.
Darren: ZEPH!

And yes, only Darren can call me 'Zeph' since he's been my bestfriend for...lemme see... 14 years.
Zephyra: Yes? What do you want?

He ran towards me, smiling widely. He only does that when he's in love. I'm sure.
Darren: I saw this gorgeous girl in the mall. I bumped into her while I was shopping for clothes with Lysander. She is so gorgeous.
Zephyra: Uhm...yeah. Did you get her name?
Darren: That's the problem... I didn't because I thought I saw an angel sent from above and so I ran away.
Zephyra: My god, Darren. You can be stupid sometimes. It would have been your chance to ask her out.
Darren: I wasn't even planning to ask her out, Zeph. I fell in love with another girl.
Zephyra: Oh sorry. I didn't mean to say it.

I know, it hurts. We're like a domino. I fell for him and he fell for someone else. Painful.

He noticed the tension between us so he decided to speak up.
Darren: Um... wanna go to Starbucks? My treat.
Zephyra: Can I let my friends come?
Darren: Okay, sure.

I fished for my phone in my bag and called my idiotic bestfriends. I'm pretty sure they're in Al's place.

Ringgg...ringgg...ringgg...ringgg...ringgg...

What is taking them so long? Augh. They must be eating AGAIN.

Ringgg...ringgg........

Al: Hey, sup? Al speaking, who's this?
Zephyra: Bro, wanna head to Starbucks with me and Darren?
Al: Yeah sure, we'll be there by 5.

I ended our call and approached Darren.
Zephyra: Do you mind if we wait for them? They'll be here soon.
Darren: No, no, it's okay. I can wait.

We waited for them in Darren's car. And then after how many minutes, I saw them. I waved at them to enter the car and we drove off.

~Time skip~
We entered Starbucks and took a seat. Darren ordered our frappes. I looked at my bestfriends. Maddie Tam is the type of girl who likes to stay in the corner and read anime stuffs. Kylie Renej is the type of girl who likes to draw stuffs. Lastly, Allaysia Yu, a.k.a Al, is like me. Boyish. Maddie is wearing crop top and black ripped jeans, Kylie is wearing a jumpsuit while Al is wearing a hoodie and jeans. I looked down and saw myself wearing sweaters and black jeans. I swear I wear better boy clothes than Darren.
Al: Yo!
Zephyra: Yeah?
Al: Why did you invite us?
Zephyra: Why? Can't we have a little bonding together?
Kylie: This is getting very creepy. I mean, you usually go to Starbucks with Darren. Alone.
Maddie: This is actually the first time you entered Starbucks with us.
Zephyra: Oh come on, guys. Can't we just have a little fun?
Maddie: But this is really creepy.
Kylie: And I'm sure you have something to tell us about. I smell a miserable Zephyra.
Zephyra: Does that mean I smell bad?
Kylie: Actually no. It means you're miserable and you want to talk about it.
Zephyra: Well, here goes nothing. About Darren...
Al: Tsk. What did he do now?
Kylie: Ek! This is getting interesting?
Maddie: Did Darren finally asked you to be his girlfriend?
Kylie: *playfully slaps Maddie* Tsk. Do you think Darren will ask her  to be his girlfriend? I probably think he would rather ask me out.
Darren: Who would rather ask you out, Kylie?
