Liliana's POV
*Not Edited*
*2:30 am*
The pain was unbearable. I didn't know what was going on or why but, I didn't like it. I had been in bed for the last three hours dealing with this. It had started about five hours ago. I looked into the causes of the pain and it said that in some cases it was normal for cramping to occur. Every once in awhile, that is. If I start bleeding, that's when I should start becoming concerned.
Another reason to be nervous as hell was the fact that Michael and the boys were supposed to be home an hour ago. I hadn't gotten any messages or calls from any of them. I was absolutely terrified at this point.
Another sharp pain pierces my abdomen making me shriek. "Fuck this." I mumble. I stand up from the bed and make my way downstairs. I slip on my moccasins and grab the car keys off the hook. After locking up the house, I take Ashton's car and head to the nearest hospital.
Earlier that Day
A smile spreads on my face as the front door closes. "Let's go, Cal!" I yell.
"I'll be right down!" He chuckles from upstairs.
Michael and Luke have a writing day today and Ashton is hanging out with some other friends. This morning, Calum came to me with the idea of going to a High School soccer game. He had said to me that it was a public game so anyone could go. I suggested we stay and watch a game on the TV but, he said it would be cooler to see it live.
"Alright, Cal. I'm going to bring the folding chairs and the food to the car."
"Okay." He replies, his voice becoming louder. I do as I had said and load the food, along with the chairs into the back of the Jeep. I also put down the top seeing as the weather was really nice today. Matter of fact, the weather was perfect. The clouds were pure white and fluffy as usual and the sun was out, allowing for a perfect temperature.
I make my way back inside to find Calum sitting on the floor trying to put on his shoes. "Having some trouble?" I chuckle. He nods his head and continues to struggle putting on his shoes. "That's karma for making fun of me the other day." I smile.
"I wasn't making fun of you! I was just surprised!" He laughs.
"Mhm, okay." I smirk, folding my arms across the chest. He makes stupid faces at me and finally gets his shoes on. "Took ya long enough."
"Oh hush, child."
"Child? I'm no child."
"Anyone younger than me is considered a child." He explains, as we're walking out the front door.
"Oh c'mon. I'm only a year younger than you."
"And? Luke is six months younger than me and I consider him a child." He smiles.
"Oi. You're so annoying."
"Thank you, I know I am. It's kind of what I'm here for." He replies. I narrow my eyes at him and turn on the car radio. Then we're off to the game.
***
"Shit. I didn't know it was going to be so crowded, Lil." Calum sighs, putting the car in park.
"It's fine, Calum. It's not a big deal." I say, getting out of the car. "C'mon, Cal. Don't you wanna get good seats?"
"Alright, alright."He chuckles.
Calum follows my lead and grabs a chair from the backseat of the Jeep. We also grab our sandwiches and waters that we brought along with us.
"Who are you gonna root for?" I ask him.
"I don't know. Do you know who you're rooting for?" He asks.
"Probably whoever has the nicer jerseys."
"Why am I not surprised."
I shrug my shoulders and lead the way to the field. This was going to be great.
***
"Again, are you sure you're okay?" Michael asks me.
"Babe, I'm fine. I promise." I chuckle, "Just a little bruise. If I think something's wrong I'll call you and if you don't answer I'll call Ash."
After the game Calum and I went to, we decided to walk around a little. The sidewalks were a little more crowded than usual and apparently, that wasn't the safest place for woman who's in her fifth month of pregnancy. Someone decided to be an asshole and run right into me. I fell and hurt my side but it's nothing major.
"Okay, I'm just making sure." He smiles, "Well, if you're all good we're gonna get going."
"Alright, bye."
"Bye, babe. I love you."
"I love you too, Michael."
And that, ladies and gentlemen, brings us to our current situation.
Present Time
Tears began to fall from my eyes because of how bad the pain was. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I have these kids. Forget that I ever said that. I don't want to imagine that kind of pain.
Seeing as I'm waiting for the doctor, I use this time to call Michael. As I begin to dial in Michael's number, I stop. Instead, I dial in Ashton's number. I don't know what made me do it but, I just really needed my brother.
"Liliana?" He answers.
"Ashton." I say, trying to hold back tears.
"What's wrong, Lil?"
"Ash, you and Michael need to come to the hospital."
"Why?" He asks.
"I-I think there's something wrong."
"Alright well, I'm already here. What room are you in?"
"342B and why are you here Are you okay?"
"I'll explain when I get there." He replies and hangs up.
Only a few minutes goes by before my brother rushes through the door. He walks up to me and pulls me into a hug. "Why are you here?"
"It's Calum."
My eyes go wide, "What happened, Ash?"
"We were leaving the club a-and there were gun shots. The three of us bolted for the car but, Calum was already on the ground."
"Oh my gosh. Is he okay?" I ask, my vision blurring from the tears.
"He'll be fine. He was shot in the arm. He's just not going to be able to play bass for awhile." He explains.
"Oh thank God." I sigh, wiping away some tears.
"Now, the real question is. Why are you here?" He asks.
"I was getting really bad cramps. I know it's a normal thing but, they just hurt so bad, Ashton." I tell him. "I'm so scared, Ash." More tears fall from my eyes and Ashton pulls me into another hug.
"Hey, hey. Lil, please don't cry. Everything will be okay."
"I don't know Ash." I sob.
The door creaks open to reveal the doctor. "Miss. Irwin, I have the results."
