Chapter 35: Fairgrounds

Fiona's pov: Joji was still asleep and I was really bored so I decided to make myself some cereal and stretch. One of my stretchs was a handstand and I was at the end of the hallway because it had enough room when I see Joji walk out of the room. I hear Joji scream and grab one of his pillows from the room and threw it at me, "AH JOJI WHAT THE HELL!" I yelled falling and landing on the floor "Oh I'm sorry Fiona I  thought you were the grudge." Joji said helping me off the floor.

Joji's pov: I help Fiona and after eating cereal and giving the box to Fiona I went to go grab next weeks groceries, I get to the store and see posters for a nerby fairground that opens at 11 am so I look at my watch only to see it was 10:30. "Fiona help me with the bags please." I ask holding 4 bags of vegetables and junk food with Fiona grabbing 2 bags, "So Fiona there's this nerby Fair are you interested?" I tell her and she excitedly nods and I smile ruffleing her hair and tell her to go get ready.

Fiona's pov: After getting dressed Joji comes in and offers to brush my hair so i accept  the offer and he brushes gently not wanting to hurt me. We get in Joji's car and he drives to the fair and we start to talk about the rides we want to get on, "How about the ferris Wheel it probably has a great view!" I tell Joji and he nods in agreement  "Ya that sounds good but how about the slingshot?!" Joji Says excitedly and I look at him nervously but not wanting to lower his excitement I nod. Joji parks and we head towards the Fair looking for the ticket booth to grab our ride tickets, "Alright how about we start with your choice first and then we go on mine." Joji says as we walk towards the rides "How about starting with yours and then ending with a relaxing ride." I told Joji wanting to get the slingshot over with and he shrugged saying "If you say so."

Joji's pov: I held Fiona's hand in line knowing she was nervous  and I asked her "You sure about this kid you look scared." But she shook her head,  We go on the ride and Fiona is holding on to the handles for dear life as the employee counts down  "Heads back please ok 3,2, and 1!" I laughed as we went up and I saw Fiona who closed her eyes "Fiona were up look at the view I told her as we stopped and she opened them not knowing we were about drop. We dropped and I laughed as Fiona sitting next to me was screeching  as if someone was trying to kidnap her, After we got off I noticed Fiona's tears so I picked her up letting her lay on my shoulder as we walked over to the ferris wheel. When we got there I set Fiona down and we waited to get in our seats, we walked into our cart sitting on different sides to make it even.

Fiona's pov : I was still recovering from The slingshot but I wanted to cuddle Joji so i tried To stand up to go over to his side but he instantly grabbed onto my arm and quickly sat me down saying "Fiona be careful I don't want you to fall this thing is really rickety." I hugged him looking at the view and he pointed  out some things like the fried butter stand and our car in the parking lot, "Why did you go if you knew you would hate it? Joji asked me running his fingers through my hair which calmed  my nerves "Because you seemed so excited to get on and I didn't want to ruin it by chickening out.." I responded  and Joji smiled looking at the view saying "Well that's really brave of you thanks but next time tell me I don't want you to do something you don't feel comfortable with." And I nodded in response ready to go home.
