Dawn

I woke up finding myself lying on a yellow bed. I heard a grunt next to me. An unfriendly grunt.

I looked to my left and saw a man with black hair and sharp blue eyes. He was sitting on a stool while glowering at me. I felt scared for some reason.

I turned away to look at other stuff of the room. The room was plain and there was a lamp next to my bed.

"Where am I?" I asked the man, ignoring his glower.

"Hospital of Makamuri. The town center of the city for Malamites. You arrived here two days ago, unconscious. King Isaac was quite worried about you. He made sure that you will get the best facilities in Makamuri."

"Who are you?" I asked him. "Are you a doctor or nurse or..."

"My name is William. And I am your personal bodyguard for now until you have take your test."

"Personal guard? Test? What do you mean?" I shot up from my sleeping posture. I detest being guarded and protected like a weakling. I was born to get freedom for myself!

A lady in white walked towards William and whispered in his ears. William nodded as the lady in white left.

"It looks like His Majesty is anxious of meeting you. I hope you can put on your best behaviour for him because the king is expecting his best from you."

"Your majesty." William opened the door to a crystal room with a throne up at the end of the room. He bowed to the man sitting on the throne. The room, throne room I'm assuming, was quite empty except for the pillars around the room, a few antiques and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

"Yes, William. Thank you. I will ask for you again later." The man motioned William to leave.

"I see you prefer the name 'Dawn' don't you?" The king said. I nodded.
"Here, I am King Isaac. I don't mind you calling me Issac, though." He smiled as his held his hand out. I shook it.

"I assume William has already told you about the Malamites and this place?" King Issac cocked an eyebrow and asked.

"He told me that this place is called Makamuri but he didn't go into the details of the Malamites." I pointed out.

"We Malamites have 5 different districts. We are in district 2, Makamuri. We have been the strongest of all Malamites. As Malamites, we will tend to have a special ability. Mine is to see what is happening around me. I can see what my citizens are doing or what the mortals are doing right now. Except for that, I could also see the future of theirs.

"As for you... My visions show me a lot of stuff. Your future is... unclear. I can't see anything about you. But by instincts, I could tell you're strong. Very, very powerful. You have lived through those dangers for 51 years, which is impossible for us, even me. But you lived through it yourself. And that made it very hard for us to catch you. We tried to find you over the years but you kept running until all my searchers gave up. I had to get my children to search for you. They said that you were too quick that they almost can't keep up."

"You mean you  Malamites set up those dangers to catch me?" I asked as a little fire started up inside me.

"No . All Malamite will face this dangers. It is to test its stamina and worth. If that Malamites don't get through it, it proves that that Malamite is worthless. Natural test." Isaac shrug greed and said.

"I hardly survived this year." I grumbled.

"As I was saying, you are very special. If it wasn't for the troubles, my children also couldn't save you. So I expect much from you." Isaac smiled and patted my shoulder.

I grimaced. Isaac turned his attention towards the door.

"It's time you meet The Royal Family here. They are coming to see you soon." Isaac grinned as the door opened.
