"Okay gunners, we go after the Angels." Our head gunner said.
I couldn't help but to take a peek at Dawn who was sitting on the tree. An Angel was sitting on the branch with her.
They were smiling and chatting.
I overheard their conversation. Apparently Dawn chosen that Angel, Emma or something to be a runner.
Damn, I could tell she wasn't easy to take down because she was small.
Then Dawn wanted to get off the tree. I went to help her.
She smells like honey.
When she smiled up at me, my heart fluttered. I was really intimidated by this fellow Dawn here.
When Ben asked us gunners to go into the Rivals' lane, I saw Eric giving me a death-glare.
The lane was not deserty yet. I guess it's because they haven't activated the lanes to let us gunners go through it easily.
When I heard a gun shot in the air, our head gunner motioned us to hide in bushes. Us Hawks can fly so they wouldn't expect us to hide in bushes.
I hid myself in the bushes and tucked in my wing so that I was hidden properly. I held my gun up to aim for the Angels. But my focus was fogged. The girl, Dawn, keeps finding her way to my thoughts that got me distracted.
Her hair, so blonde, so beautiful. Her voice so human yet so melodious.
"Aster!"Our head gunner shouted and asked us to focus on the Angels.
They are here already? That's quick.
"Yes! It's been two hours. They're quite slow. Our group already reached the forest and is working the plan."
Oh. I said my thoughts out loud.
I held my guns up and flew towards desert. I could feel the heat radiating towards me. I guess that the angels are really thirsty and tired right now.
The first angel fluttered into the coast. It was flying clumsily like a drunken Rabbit(trust me, you'll find their drunken state terrible. I like their normal state. )
"Shoot." our leader whispered to me.
I did as he said. I shot the Angel and a scream was heard.
One was down, four more to go.
The Angel that was shot disappeared. I guess it was after a creature is shot the creature will disappear.
"Aster! That's just a doll! Now they know that, we're here!" one if the gunners said.
"Oops. " I shrugged.
I got a glimpse of Eric's blonde and orange hair .
"They're there! I saw them." I pointed towards Eric and gestured them to come with me.
We may be the fastest creature in this dimension but they chosen the fastest Angels against us and with the heavy gun, we couldn't fly catch up with them.
"They went through a desert, they must be very thirsty, so obviously they must be searching water!" one of the gunner pointed out.
Makes sense.
We went to search for water.

"They know we will be going to find for water because we went through a big whole desert, so we must avoid water at all costs."
