Dawn
"Dawn! You alright?" Princess Evelyn opened the door to the entrance of the Chide throne room.
I was sitting next to Joshua's corpse allowing my tears run free.
She looked at me and then the head of Faurus.
"War is brewing. You have to get back to Makamuri before the Chiden sees you. "
"Why war? " I asked. "Shouldn't they be glad that their cruel king died? "
"No. Their king died. They must take revenge. It's a tradition. No matter what, war would occur. They always wanted to take over Malamites, especially Makamuri. Now that the king died, they have perfect excuse to start war." Princess Evelyn said as we ran.
"Then who's the king? Now that the present king and the heir died, who would take over? "
"They would have a test to all Chiden. The strongest one of all would become king. Same with the Malamites."
We reached Makamuri and went inside the palace training grounds.
An army was formed. Prince Jordan was giving them tips to fight in war.
"Dawn! You came. Great. Now I want you to train your abilities. You are the only one with the strongest ability here." Prince Jordan instructed me and brought me to a room. The room was big and the walls were transparent.
The room had many props in there. There were projectors sitting around the room and a lot of swords on the ground.
"I want you to pick a suitable weapon for yourself. Even if you have a strong ability, you still need a weapon for self defense. Pick it up and try to control it."
Most of the swords looked very big and heavy. Totally not for me. My small and fragile body can only take a tiny and light item around me.
I was about to tell Jordan nothing was suitable for me until a dagger caught my eye.
It's handle was pearl coloured while it's blade was made of steel. It was shining in the dark room and the room had no light.
I picked it up. The dagger was light and dangerously sharp.
There were a lot of shooting targets. I threw the dagger at it. In a blink of eye, the dagger hit the target.
I beamed at myself and summoned my powers to redeem the dagger back.
I looked at Jordan. He looked happy and a bit... Surprised.
"Great. I see you already know how to control the weapon. Now you have to learn to fight with it." Jordan said as he rushed towards me.
I didn't know what happened as I stood at my place and blinked. Jordan came towards me I pushed me to the ground. He tighten his hand on my neck to prevent me from breathing.
"Lesson one. You must always be aware of your surroundings. Don't get distracted easily. " Jordan said.
I smiled and conflicted my psychic powers on him. He felt the pain I was inflicting and immediately let go of me.
He grunted in pain until I stopped.
"Dawn, how am I gonna teach you if you keep using your abilities on me? " Jordan glared at me as he rubbed his temple.
"I'm sorry. That was self defense. I guess you have to warn me before you attack. " I shrugged.
He sighed as he ran his hand trough his hair.
"Anyway. When you see someone coming towards you in a speed so fast, you'll have to use your weapon. The powers don't work as quick as your actions do.
