Dawn
I stood at the highest place in the castle getting a good view. It was obvious that the Hawks were leading. They had a complete posse of army all wearing red, if it weren't for my super vision, all I could see would be a group of red ants from above. The Angels wore all blue, sky blue. I could see Tess standing at front row of the posse. He's the general, I suppose.
The Hawk's general wasn't Aster. Someone else. Tess told me the war they had here was different, they take turns. The generals have to fight each other, when one side dies, the winning side may get a first shot with the arrows.
I wasn't worried for Tess. i was terrified.
Tess was smiling confidently as she held her gleaming sword up confidently.
I honestly didn't like war. But what's done had to be done.
"Dawn."
I stiffened. No one should be here. I made sure of it. And the sound wasn't melodic, I was sure it wasn't Angel. Most slightly Hawk.
I held my sword tight. The sword from Makamuri.
I turned back and saw Aster. I breathed a sigh of relief.
But then I realized he was from the enemy's team, I then stiffened again.
"What are you doing here, Aster?"
"I was asked to kidnap you to my father. I don't want to but I'd rather you come with me than me hurting you," His eyes showed sadness. Genuine sadness.
"You think I will?" I snorted at his absurdity to even ask me something like that.
"No, but forgive me if I do this. I have always wanted to this since I've met you. I'm sorry."
And before I could react, his lips touched mine.
I was too stunned to do anything. His lips were soft, so much more different from what I imagined (not that I imagined it before).
"Aster," I pulled back from him, a little dizzy. I don't know if it was an effect of kissing him. "What are you doing?"
"I'm sorry, Dawn. I really am. Please do forgive me one day."
And then I blacked out
But not before I felt him catching me before I fell and he flew up whispering beside my ear,
"I love you."
